Last night the 36th annual Comic-Con Masquerade, sponsored by HBO's True Blood,
drew a combined audience of well over 6,000, filling Ballroom 20 and most of the
overflow rooms and Sails Pavilion. It featured 36 entries. Our Master of
Ceremonies was artist/writer Phil Foglio of Studio Foglio, and our panel of
judges included themepark show designer and former Broadway performer Diane
Duncan, costume and effect pros Wanda Piety and Dragon Dronet of Hollywood's
Renegade Effects, and workmanship judge and very experienced convention costumer
Jeanne Clason.
