Important Information Regarding Programs and Autographs at WonderCon
Celebrity appearances and program schedule are subject to change.
All event and program rooms have limited capacity as set by the Fire Marshal. Even though your badge
is needed to get into all events, it does not guarantee you access to any event if it has reached its
capacity. We do not clear rooms between events. Most autograph signings are of a limited nature.
Your badge does not guarantee autographs at any event.
Please...absolutely no recording of the video footage or images presented by the studios on the screens.

Comic-Con International has a policy for giving complimentary badges for
WonderCon to qualified professionals. We do so to thank those professionals for their
contributions and to give fans a greater opportunity to interact with their
favorite creators.
Pre-Registered and verified professionals are admitted to WonderCon with a
complimentary professional badge until capacity is reached. This badge is good for entry to all of the
events held at WonderCon (space permitting). A professional badge, however, does not allow for
early entry into the Exhibit Hall or programming seminars and does not
necessarily guarantee seating.
Each professional applying for a complimentary badge is required to
submit verification documents every three years. If you have attended in the past, you may already be verified. Returning professionals, should check the top of the registration postcard or email sent in October 2011 for verification status. (Remember that even if you are verified, you still need to register so we know to expect you and prepare a badge for you.) Log in to the professionals-only area and download the " Information for Professionals" PDF, which includes your form for professional registration.
To qualify for a creative professional registration, a person must work as a
creator (writer, artist, etc.) or be an executive (publisher, editor, producer)
in comic books, comic strips, animation, or other related popular arts.
Professional status does not extend to support staff (sales, marketing,
accounting, managers and administrative staff, IT, facilities, operations, etc.)
who are not directly involved in the creative process.
If you work as a professional in a capacity that supports the artists and
executives, or one of the many other professionals who do not directly create
artwork, we recognize your contribution to your industry, and we applaud the
work that you do to support the creative process, however that work does not
qualify you for a Comic-Con or WonderCon professional badge.
Who qualifies for professional status at WonderCon?
Comic-Con offers complimentary professional badges to
professionals and executives in the comic book, book publishing, animation,
films, television, gaming, and related industries. (By related, we mean
producing material based on comic book, graphic novel, comic strip, animation,
or fantasy/sci fi properties). A professional is someone who takes an
active role in the creation, design, writing, editing, or production of comics,
animation, films, books, videogames, or toys. Job titles might include writer,
artist, penciller, inker, colorist, letterer, animator, designer, sculptor,
editor, publisher, producer, actor, etc. Retired career professionals from
comics and related popular arts fields also qualify. Professional status is also
extended to those responsible for the content of websites that promote the
historic or ongoing contribution of comics to art or society. Determination of
professional status is ultimately at the discretion of Comic-Con.
Information on verification of qualifying job title, position, or type of work for professional registration:
Your application form and verification materials must be sent during the open professional registration, 10/17/11 through 01/18/12 for WonderCon 2012.

For artists/creators of all kinds who create credited work:
|
an original or a photocopy of the credits page
a sample of the work
a screen capture
a printed out webpage, IMBD, MobyGames, etc. which clearly displays your name and title as an artist
|
|
For artists/creators who create uncredited work, and for professionals applying as executives:
|
|
Please submit two forms of verification that show your qualifying job title, position, or type of work and the company you work for.
This may include a business card and employee badge, a print out of your company webpage
listing you as a principal or executive of the company, or a letter from the company which
states your name and your job title as an artist of some type or a company executive.
Please note that a paystub or employee badge alone is not sufficient verification unless job titled is listed on the document.
Freelance artists may submit a letter (on company letterhead) from a company stating they have
completed freelance artwork for them that is not credited.
|
Unfortunately, professional status does not extend to support staff including
sales, marketing, accounting, managers, testers, analysts, administrative staff,
IT, facilities, operations, etc. who are not directly involved in the creative
process.
