Alternative Press Expo (APE) 2013 Dates Set for Oct. 12 & 13!
Popular Indie Comics Show Returns to the Concourse in San Francisco

APE, the Alternative Press Expo, returns to the Concourse Exhibition Center in San Francisco the weekend of October 12 and 13, 2013.

APE celebrates its 20th event in 2013. The alternative comics show was started in 1994 in San Jose by publisher Dan Vado of SLG Publishing. Comic-Con International took over running the show in 1995, moving it from San Jose to San Francisco in 2000, first at Fort Mason and then at the Concourse Exhibition Center.

The 2012 show had over 400 exhibitors and 5,500 attendees. In addition to the Exhibit Hall filled with some of the best and coolest comics, art, books, and items around, APE features two full days of comics-oriented programming, including special guests, workshops, the popular Comic Creator Connection (which matches up prospective writers and artists to collaborate), and much more.

APE continues to be one of the country’s leading indie comics show. You’ll want to be on hand to celebrate the 20th event in 2013! If you’re interested in exhibiting at APE, click here to download the 2013 Interest Form (the Exhibitor Application will be available in April).
