Welcome to the New Comic-Con International Website!
As you have no doubt noticed, the Comic-Con International website has a whole new look. This is the first major change in the design and navigation of www.comic-con.org in over a decade. We hope you’ll find this new site easier to navigate and explore.
We’ve included special “landing pages” for all of our events—Comic-Con International, WonderCon Anaheim, and APE, the Alternative Press Expo—which act as your first stop for each show, updating you on current information. There’s a new section of the site devoted to Awards (including the “Oscars” of the comic book industry, the Eisner Awards). While some of these pages—and in fact, the whole site—are currently in the beta mode, we’ve made every effort to include pertinent and current updated information as we launch the new Comic-Con website
The new site is much easier to use, with drop-down menus on each page. Just follow the menu bars across the top under the main banner to find what you’re looking for. Certain drop-down menu items have submenus. Once a page from the sub-menu is open, the menus are mirrored on the left sidebar. This will allow for easier navigation on smaller devices, such as tablet computers and smartphones. (In fact, you’ll find the new site to be very friendly on your smartphone!)
For example, on our new website, the “Attending the Show” menu item encompasses everything you need to know about attending Comic-Con. If you’re looking to register for your Comic-Con Member ID, a link is available at the top of each and every page. And if you can’t find what you’re looking for, there’s a Search Box in the top left corner of every page, too. Just type in what you’re looking for and click “Go.” Anytime you come across a photo or graphic on a page, click on it to see a larger version; multiple photos on each page create a mini photo gallery, which you can click through to go from photo to photo.
You can also use the social media icons on the bottom of each page to share posts with your friends on Facebook, Twitter, GooglePlus, or email a link to them.
In addition to a new look and improved navigation, Comic-Con is making a major commitment to bringing you new and exciting content each week with our new Toucan blog. This is the OFFICIAL blog of Comic-Con International, WonderCon Anaheim, and APE. In addition to posts concerning each of those events, the blog will showcase monthly columns by a team of comics professionals, interviews with Comic-Con show guests, rare and seldom-seen photos and images from the Comic-Con Archives, and much more. Toucan is going to be an exciting place to visit, with new content arriving each week.
In the coming months, we’ll be adding to and increasing our presence on the Internet with this new website. Be sure to bookmark the site and visit on a regular basis as we keep you up to date on the latest news on all of our events and continue to increase awareness of comics and related popular art forms with our exclusive content. this website will continue to be your first and best source for information about Comic-Con International: San Diego, WonderCon Anaheim, and APE, the Alternative Press Expo, and the ONLY authorized place to purchase badges for all of our events.
Please note: If you have bookmarked specific pages on our previous website, you may want to check the new site and update those bookmarks. The Member ID site’s URL remains the same.
