Important Information Regarding Programs and Autographs at Comic-Con


All event and program rooms have limited capacity as set by the Fire Marshal. Even though your badge is needed to get into all events, it does not guarantee you access to any event if it has reached its capacity. We do not clear rooms between events. Most autograph signings are of a limited nature. Your badge does not guarantee autographs at any event.

Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival 2011 Schedule


All films and programs are in Marriott Hall 2 at the Marriott Marquis & Marina, next to the Hall A side of the Convention Center.

10:00-11:00 Comic-Con Film School 104: Postproduction and Distribution— The final day of this comprehensive course on microbudget moviemaking revolves around what to do after your movie is shot. Panelists will go over the basics of postproduction on your home computer; what software to use for editing, graphic design, sound design, and visualFX; and how to burn your finished product to DVD and upload it to the Internet. Panelists include Valerie Perez (producer/star of the Paula Peril series), Vera Vanguard (writer/producer, Goth Girl), Edward G. Negron (director, Safehouse), Jack Conway (writer/producer of Fear News), and Sean Rourke (writer, Ballistica).

11:05–11:55 CCI-IFF Awards Presentation—The films have been shown, now it's time to give the recipients of the 2011 Comic-Con Independent Film Festival Awards their trophies and recognition! Comic-Con's Gary Sassaman talks to this year's trio of judges, Michael Gross (art director, producer, Heavy Metal, Ghostbusters), Eric Vespe ("Quint" on Ain't It Cool News), and the producer of last year's CCI-IFF Judges' Choice and Best Documentary award-winner and Kevin Walsh (Marwencol), about this year's films.

12:00-1:40 Gahan Wilson: Born Dead, Still WeirdSteven-Charles Jaffe's provocative documentary about legendary Playboy and National Lampoon cartoonist Gahan Wilson also features guest stars, including Guillermo Del Toro, Neil Gaiman, Stephen Colbert, Stan Lee, and many more. Participating panelists include Steven-Charles Jaffe (Star Trek VI) and Robert J. Jaffe (Motel Hell).

1:45-5:00 Award Winners Showcase—Stay tuned for an afternoon of great indie entertainment as the CCI-IFF rescreens the award-winning films from this year's Festival!
