A LOOK BACK AT COMIC-CON 2006

Anime 2006

Three Rooms+Four Days+130 Titles=Sheer Bliss

It’s one of the fastest-growing aspects of Comic-Con: Japanese animation, better known as anime. Screenings continue to gather record-setting crowds, and when it comes to Comic-Con, that’s a lot of screenings!

The Comic-Con anime staff is looking at a 2006 schedule that will include over 130 different titles, including popular fan favorites, newer releases, and sneak previews of titles that aren’t even available yet! And 2006 marks the 25th anniversary of the anime classic Urusei Yatsura, with special screenings added to the schedule to help celebrate.

We will also have some late-night anime screenings. Due to some mature themes or content, no one under 18 will be admitted into the anime rooms for late-night programs unless accompanied by a parent or adult legal guardian. These programs are clearly indicated on our online schedule and usually start around 10:00pm.

Once again Comic-Con will provide a handy guide to the schedule, containing room locations and brief synopses of the titles being shown.

The complete Anime schedule also appears in the onsite Events Guide as well as here, on our website. Be a part of the growing world of Anime at Comic-Con, one of the many cool aspects of CCI that give it its “International” flavor!

This represents the Comic-Con International 2006 Programming Schedule as of this moment. Please note that this schedule is subject to change. Panelists scheduled to appear at each event are also subject to change. Please check the schedule signs outside each door for updated information.

Seating in all event rooms at Comic-Con is on a first-come, first-served basis. Because of the sheer number of attendees, simply having a badge does not guarantee a seat in programs and events, nor an autograph from a specific celebrity.
