Decades older and slightly slower than the Colonial Viper Mark VII, the Mark II is nonetheless a formidable fighter craft. Developed specifically to engage and destroy the Cylon threat, the Mark II is a near-perfect machine, with mechanical systems designed to enhance its pilot's skills, while remaining invulnerable to the electronic attacks of the Cylons. Equipped with high-velocity, high-capacity projectile cannons and unbelievable maneuverability, the Mark II can be more than a match for even the newest Raider models.

This patched-up yet proud Colonial Military starship has the unique distinction of being humanity's final battlestar. In the 50+ years of the Cylon War, the Battlestar Galactica has seen it all and endured hundreds of conflicts. The ship is centered around its Combat Information Center (CIC), where its commanders can launch offensive and defensive assaults with precision. It's doubtful that there is another ship anywhere in Colonial Space with more heart and soul than this battle-worn behemoth.

The rugged and versatile workhorse of the Colonial military, the adaptable Colonial Raptor has proven to be invaluable in the fleet's struggle for survival. Originally intended as a medium-range recon vehicle, the Raptor has been used as everything from a boarding vessel to an ordnance delivery platform. Though not as fast as the Colonial Viper Mark VII, it is also an effective combat platform, sporting electronic countermeasures capable of thwarting many Cylon weapons.

There was a time when DESTRO briefly replaced his bad-to-the-bone suit with a very flamboyant outfit: dark and deadly DESTRO was now dressed in leopard skin. High-powered Super Hero attorney Jennifer Walters hasn't always been a solo act. During one of Ben Grimm's extended absences from the Fantastic Four, she filled in as the First Family's heavy hitter. As part of the gang of four, she split her time between serving as legal counsel to her teammates and many of New York's other heroes, and trading blows with the likes of Doctor Doom and Terminus. She served with distinction as the longest-term replacement for any member of the Fantastic Four, and remains friends with all of them to this day. Her first duty, however, has always been to justice. Even during this busy time she kept up her legal practice and maintained her qualifications, and appeared in court as often as possible (when she wasn't captured by the Beyonder or crushing Doombots in Latveria). Stan Lee first met Captain America when he was 19 years old, and just getting started in publishing. It was a short meeting, just long enough for Cap to flesh out a few details for the story Stan was covering for Timely Comics, but it made a lasting impression. There were great men out in the world, and Stan Lee resolved to tell their stories. Later in his career, he became the official memoirist of the Fantastic Four and one of the few citizens to meet Spider-Man® face to face (though it was always difficult to get interviews with the web slinger). During the height of anti-mutant paranoia, he was one of a very few writers with full access to Charles Xavier's X-Men. He is the only human writer ever to secure an interview with Black Bolt, King of the Inhumans (famously short though it was). So famous is he as an accurate, impartial teller of tales of derring do that even Dr. Doom is rumored to desire his services as ghostwriter on the inevitable biography. He has been a friend, advisor and confidant to the superhuman community of Earth for 65 years now, a man without whom many of history's most significant events would long ago have faded into obscurity.

Star Wars 501st Legion: R2-KT
R2-KT was created in 2005 to honor Katie Johnson, a very special little girl who tragically passed away from brain cancer on August 9, 2005, at the age of seven. Her father, Albin Johnson, is the founder of the 501st Legion, a Star Wars costuming fan club that performs charity work around the world. Katie had a special wish: to visit Walt Disney World™. Through the generosity of the Make-A-Wish Foundation®, Katie's wish was granted. Then one more special dream came true. Katie's sister, Allie, was inspired one day while watching Attack of the Clones, in which R2-D2 watches over the sleeping Padmé. Allie thought how great it would be if Artoo could watch over Katie while she underwent treatment, and for the droid to be named "KT" after her sister. The R2 Builders Club made Allie's idea a reality by creating a unique R2 unit especially for Katie. The 501st Legion approached Hasbro with the idea of producing a figure to commemorate R2-KT. This inspired Hasbro and Lucasfilm to help make more wishes come true for children like Katie. Hasbro and Lucasfilm together are donating $100,000 in Katie's memory to the Make-A-Wish Foundations® of South Carolina and San Diego.

Moving past the decade mark, and with the new “Rebuild” film series looming on the horizon, NEON GENESIS EVANGELION has never been more popular with anime fans worldwide.  Kotobukiya’s SDCC exclusive figure is the SAN DIEGO RACE QUEEN REI AYANAMI pvc statue.  Styled as a 'Japanese Race Queen' (pretty girls on the sidelines, cheering on their team’s driver), Rei Ayanami is featured in a skimpy one-piece bathing suit, little high-heeled boots, and leaning on an umbrella.   This special 7 ½” tall exclusive figure embraces the convention with the black & yellow color scheme being adopted as Rei’s swimwear, and even the SDCC logo itself being printed on her top!   The edition size of only 1250 pieces is printed on the display base in a stylish race track style graphic, and each statue will include four different background cards – two of which are exclusive to this release – which attach to the base to create a diorama display!    Priced at $30, only 100 pieces of this figure will be available at the Kotobukiya booth, while the remaining pieces will be sold by retailers throughout the convention.

In addition to the two exclusive figures, Kotobukiya will have two new Kiriko (the art of traditional Japanese glass etching) glasses based on the Star Wars universe – details to be announced soon!   

Kotobukiya will also debut new products as part of their exhibition, along with having a great selection of Square Enix Products on display and for purchase, as well as provide free gifts for their fans!  The excitement begins at Booth #2301 starting with SDCC Preview Night on Wednesday July 25th and running through Sunday July 29rd.   

Utapau Clone Trooper Artfx Statue
Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the greatest space fantasy film of all time, the UTAPAU TROOPER is the newest edition to the ARTFX Statue series.   The infamous receivers of Order 66, each Utapau Clone Troopers stands 12 inches tall, and includes a display base, and trademark Clone Trooper weapons – the blaster and DC-15 rifle.  The level of detail that the Koto ARTFX series is known for is on display in this piece, with over 200 individual scratches and markings on the Trooper’s armor.  Limited to only 2007 pieces (for Summer 2007), this is one of the smallest edition sizes of any ARTFX Statues released.
