Important Information Regarding Programs and Autographs at Comic-Con
All event and program rooms have limited capacity as set by the Fire Marshal. Even though your badge
is needed to get into all events, it does not guarantee you access to any event if it has reached its
capacity. We do not clear rooms between events. Most autograph signings are of a limited nature.
Your badge does not guarantee autographs at any event.

COMIC-CON INTERNATIONAL 2011: DAY FOUR!
It's the final day of the big event as SDCC winds up the 2011 show. On the schedule for today:
a whole day's worth of great comics-oriented programs; a full slate of films for kids of all ages
at the San Diego International Children's Film Festival (Room 9);
Glee, Supernatural, and Doctor Who are among the TV shows that take the big stage in Hall H;
and of course, your last chance to get that extra special item in the world's largest comics and pop culture
shopping paradise, the giant Exhibit Hall! Make the most of your last day at CCI 2011!
(Click here for the complete Sunday programming schedule!)
COMIC-CON INTERNATIONAL 2011: DAY THREE!
If it's Saturday at Comic-Con, that must mean another great day of programs!
(Click here for the complete Saturday programming schedule).
And don't forget the world famous Comic-Con Masquerade tonight, sponsored by
HBO's True Blood.
It takes place in Ballroom 20 starting at 8:30. You will need a ticket for the Masquerade if you choose to
see it in 20, however there are additional viewing opportunities available in Rooms 5AB and 6A,
plus in the Sails Pavilion during CCI's annual Masquerade party. You don't need a ticket for them,
but get there while there's still space available. See it on the big screen if you can't get into Ballroom 20!
COMIC-CON INTERNATIONAL 2011: DAY TWO!
Are your feet sore yet? It's day two of Comic-Con, featuring more great programs
(click here for the complete Friday programming schedule)
and more shopping opportunities in the giant Exhibit Hall. Tonight, visit the Indigo Ballroom
at the San Diego Hilton Bayfront for the Friday night big event: the
Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards, presented by
Advanced Micro Devices,
beginning at 8:30. It's the comic book world’s equivalent of the Oscars! Back at the Convention Center,
you have TWO opportunities to see the World Premiere of the newest DC Universe animated feature,
Batman: Year One, based on the famous mini-series by Frank Miller and David Mazzuchelli.
It's in Ballroom 20 at 8:00 PM, with an encore screening at 10:15, but don't be greedy: please only go to
only one screening and allow room for your fellow CCI attendees at the other!
COMIC-CON INTERNATIONAL 2011: DAY ONE!
It's the first full day of Comic-Con 2011...time to crack open that want list and begin the search for all the stuff on it!
And oh, yeah...we have (more than) a few programs you'll want to check out on day one of the largest slate of comics-oriented
events in the country, if not the whole wide world! Click here for the complete Thursday programming schedule.
Tonight's big event is the Star Wars Fan Movie Awards in Ballroom 20, beginning at 8:30 PM. Be there or be a scruffy-looking Nerf herder!
IT'S PREVIEW NIGHT!
COMIC-CON INTERNATIONAL 2011 IS HERE!
Comic-Con's Preview Night opens tonight at 6:00 PM, offering an advance
look at this year's big event! The Exhibit Hall
will be open until 9:00 pm for early shoppers. And Ballroom 20 will also be
open, showcasing the World Premieres of some of this fall's most eagerly
awaited new TV shows! Catch the pilots for The Secret Circle,
Person of Interest, and Alcatraz (which doesn't debut until
January!), plus get your first look at the new Supernatural: The Anime Series
DVD! Games will be open on both the mezzanine at the Convention Center
(Room 15A) and Marina Ballroom E at the Marriott Marquis. Also at the
Marriott: the weekend's first film screenings (in Marriott Hall 2) and
Anime screenings (Marriott Hall 4). Look around, get the lay of the land,
and find your favorite things at SDCC 2011!
THE CONVENTION CENTER IS HOPPING!
The San Diego Convention Center is hopping with massive activity as you read this.
Forklifts, scissor-lifts-all kinds of lifts! -- -and an army of men and women are
building the "city" that almost mystically appears in Halls A through G for the whole
Comic-Con International weekend. Booths are being assembled, stocked and staffed as
exhibitors put on display the colossal amount of amazing stuff they'll have available
for attendees to see, "ooh" and "ahh" over, and purchase. And of course there will
be free stuff. Let's not forget the free stuff!
Elsewhere in the center, crews are working to build the programming rooms. The
massive screens for Hall H are being installed, and the work continues in every
programming room, as we get ready to present the stellar line-up of CCI programs.
And the best part of all this? We're doing it for YOU. Because we couldn't do
this without you. So get ready...in one day CCI's Preview Night opens to the public.
And from then on, it's all about you and your personal experience at Comic-Con 2011!
The San Diego Marriot Marquis & Marina And The San Diego Hilton Bayfront -- Our Headquarters Hotels!
Comic-Con International has grown so much over the past decade that the show has
branched out to hotels near the San Diego Convention Center. While CCI has
always had nighttime games, film screenings, and the Hospitality Suite at our
headquarters hotel, it's only in the past few years that we've featured
programming and moved our Anime and Film Festival rooms to nearby hotels. Here's
a handy-dandy rundown of our hotels and where to find some of the things you
love most about Comic-Con!
San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina
(Next door to the Hall A side of the Convention Center)
The Marriott is home to Anime screenings (Marriott Hall 4, 5, and 6), the
Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival (Marriott Hall 2), the Fulfillment
Room (where you go when you receive a ticket for a free item in a panel -- Marriott
Hall 3). All the Marriott Hall rooms are located outside the hotel in (duh)
Marriott Hall, a separate stand-alone building at the far end of the hotel's
North Tower. Nighttime games (Marina Hall EF), film screenings (Marina Hall D),
and the Comic-Con Hospitality Suite (Marina Hall G) are all located in the
Marina Ballroom, up one floor from the lobby level in the South Tower of the
Marriott Marquis.

San Diego Hilton Bayfront
(Across the street from the Hall H side of the Convention Center)
The Bayfront's Indigo Ballroom is an additional home base for programming on
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Once again, CCI offers a complete schedule of
daily programs there. It's also home to the Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards on
Friday night at 8:30. Check the programming grid we told you to download the
other day (Well? Did you?) for complete schedule info. But trust us...there're a
lot of things at the Hilton Bayfront you'll want to see! (Do the names
Stan Lee, Todd McFarlane, Frank Miller, Joss Whedon, a whole day of Adult Swim
programs, and two guys from Vegas named Penn & Teller mean anything to you? Not
to mention a whole slew of great TV shows!)

take place there!
HEY...YOU HUNGRY? LET'S GO EAT!
Comic-Con is fortunate to be held in one of the most beautiful cities in the country,
San Diego, California (you knew that, right?). But it's also smack-dab in the heart of
downtown and surrounded by an incredible assortment of restaurants. This year, CCI
introduces our newly revamped Restaurant Guide, which will be part of the Events Guide
you'll receive when you get onsite at the convention. But this time there's a big difference:
the new Guide features listings of restaurants with special offers for Comic-Con attendees.
Just wear your CCI badge (why would you ever take it off?) when you go out to dinner -- or
breakfast or lunch or that late-night snack -- to partake of these generous offers.
Click here to download your own personal copy of the Comic-Con Restaurant Guide to start
early to check out those special offers (in green)...and bring your appetite! And once in San Diego,
get out there and explore the area around the Convention Center, including the Gaslamp
(up Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Avenues), Seaport Village (behind the Marriott Marquis & Marina and Manchester Grand Hyatt),
and the East Village (up Market Street and east of PETCO Park).
Take it from us -- we live here! -- there are a lot of really AMAZING restaurants in downtown San Diego!
PRE-REGISTER ONSITE FOR COMIC-CON 2012!
The 43rd annual Comic-Con International: San Diego will be held July 12–15,
2012. Pre-register onsite for all four days, and you won’t have to worry about
getting your badges before they sell out. Keep in mind that, like this year, NO
badges will be sold at the door.
Visit the Pre-Registration kiosks at the Manchester Grand Hyatt Douglas
Pavilion, One Market Place, San Diego, CA 92101
(map).
Pre-Registration will be open
8:00 am to 11:00 am, Thursday, July 21 through Sunday, July 24. The Hyatt is
just a short walk from the Convention Center, and on the Comic-Con shuttle

ANIME, AUTOGRAPHS, FILM FESTIVALS, PORTFOLIO REVIEW SCHEDULES POSTED!
While you've been working and planning, the Comic-Con.org website elves were busy updating the
site with the schedules for many more of your other favorite CCI events, including
Anime screenings, the
Autograph Area, the
Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival (now with movie synopses!), the
San Diego International Children's Film Festival (a full day on Sunday!), and the
Portfolio Review schedule. Click on the blue links above to go to each specific page and remember to take notes! You don't want to miss a thing, do you?
And Gamers, we're working on your schedules -- so stay tuned for those...coming soon!
We Can Get You Here From There: The Shuttle Schedule, The Trolley, and The New Pedestrian Bridge!
Leave the Driving to Us!
Comic-Con runs a full schedule of shuttle buses to and from the hotels in our
room block and various other places downtown and beyond. Best of all, our
shuttle service also extends to the hotels in Mission Valley and on Shelter
Island and at Liberty Station out near the airport.
Click here to download your own
personal copy of the official CCI 2011 Shuttle Schedule. In this PDF you'll
find everything you need to know to utilize this great service...especially
when you're loaded down with all that cool stuff you picked up in the Exhibit
Hall! Special thanks to our friends at SEAT Planners for running the shuttle
system and Showtime for their generous sponsorship of the shuttles.
Leave the Driving to Them!
We've said it before and we'll say it again: TAKE THE TROLLEY TO COMIC-CON! Save
yourself the hassle of trying to find a parking space downtown. The trolley has
stops across the street from both the Hall A and Hall D locations at the
Convention Center. Here's a link to San Diego's MTS website's Comic-Con page.
Look for the Special 4-day and 1-day Comic-Con MTS passes, good for both the trolley and bus. You can also check out their Trip Planner; enter the San Diego
Convention Center as your destination or starting point, and start planning!
The New Pedestrian Bridge to the Rescue!
That striking structure straddling Harbor Drive just south of the Convention
Center isn't a futuristic set for a new episode of Torchwood: It's the
Pedestrian Bridge, finally open for business! This new addition to the
Convention Center landscape takes you from the Hall H end (by the Hilton San
Diego Bayfront garage) over to the parking lots south and east of PETCO Park.
There are elevators at each end of the bridge (the Hilton side is inside the
Hilton Parking Garage). It's a great way to get away from the crowds if you're
heading to or from the East Village parking lots or just looking for a new place
to eat after a fun day at Comic-Con. And it's perfect for those science fictiony
cosplay photos, too. Check it out!

HEY! HOW DO I PICK UP MY BADGE...AND WHERE AND WHEN?
Don't worry Comic-Con attendee: we've got you covered!
Here's a quick link to all the info you
need to know about picking up that all-important badge: four-day with Preview Night,
four-day without, and single days...it's all here!
NOW THAT I GOT MY BADGE...HOW DO I GET THERE FROM HERE? WE HAVE A MAP FOR
THAT!
As we mentioned yesterday -- you WERE here, weren't you,
when we premiered the new
programming grids? -- Comic-Con's new Quick Guide publication is your resource for
maps and the complete set of program schedule grids. If you're attending CCI
2011, you'll get this handy guide as part of the Events Guide...it's bound
right in the center. It contains maps of the Convention Center, the San Diego
Hilton Bayfront, the San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina, the Comic-Con Shuttle
route and a new Downtown Restaurants map. It also includes the massive gatefold
Exhibit Hall map and a complete list of exhibitors. We like this new publication
so much we're going to give you a sneak peek at the maps portion of it, to help
you better prepare for your trip to CCI.
Click here to download your copy now,
with an apology in advance: because of the size of the Exhibit Hall map (which
is 32" wide when totally unfolded!), we can't include that in this PDF. But you
can click here to download a separate PDF of the Exhibit Hall map and see our
complete exhibitor list. In the meantime, study those maps! You're going to need
them when you get onsite (and don't forget you'll get a spiffy, high-quality
color copy of the Quick Guide inside your Events Guide when you
get here...we're saving one just for YOU).
THE COMPLETE COMIC-CON PROGRAM SCHEDULE IS UP!
All four days of the Comic-Con Program Schedule have now been revealed. The
secret -- all 530 or so of them -- is out! But here's a BIG bonus for you: this year
we premiere our brand-new Program Schedule grids! They'll be part of a new
publication Comic-Con is debuting as part of our traditional massive Events
Guide publication, which includes the complete schedule information for
everything going on at SDCC. The Quick Guide is a color insert to the Events
Guide that features maps and the new full-color Program Schedule grids. That's
right, we said FULL-COLOR. Now extending over two-page spreads, you can see an
entire day's program schedule (most days totaling NINETEEN separate program
rooms!) at a glance, color-coded by category. See where all your favorite panels
are instantly: comics (white), animation (green), movies (yellow), television
(orange), games (pink), science fiction/fantasy/horror (blue), and "everything
else" (purple).
Click here to download a special sneak peek PDF of the schedule
in this exciting new format (but keep in mind the schedule is subject to change
and you should always check the room signs outside of every program room for
updated info).

Comic-Con banners. This year's edition features the upcoming DreamWorks movie Real Steel. That's
"Noisy Boy" in the left photo and the movie logo on the right. San Diego is ready for you...are
