Each year, Comic-Con International welcomes professionals and executives in the comic book, book publishing, animation, films, television, gaming, and related industries. (Related refers to those who produce material based on comic book, graphic novel, comic strip, animation, or fantasy/sci-fi properties). To best serve the needs of our industry professionals, Comic-Con's professional registration program has two badge categories, the creative professional badge and the trade professional badge.
There will be NO onsite registration. The only way to obtain a Comic-Con professional badge is to submit an online APPLICATION, mail the VERIFICATION MATERIALS COVER SHEET and VERIFICATION MATERIALS and be approved by Comic-Con before professional registration reaches capacity. Verified professionals must register online each year they plan to attend, and provide verification materials demonstrating their continued qualifying work in the industry every three years.
Professional badges are limited, and not all applicants who meet the guidelines can be accommodated. Determination of professional status is ultimately at the discretion of Comic-Con. There will be no close date for professional or trade professional registration; professional registration will close when capacity is reached.
Guest badges in each category are limited, and not all guests can be accommodated.
Each creative or trade professional must apply and register separately. Any badges purchased through a professional or trade professional registration may be refunded if a request is submitted in writing by May 15, 2012 with your Comic-Con Member ID and confirmation number. Professional badges MAY NOT BE transferred to another name at any time. Comic-Con badges are non-refundable after May 15, 2012.
Please keep in mind that professional registration is a courtesy and your Comic-Con professional badge is non-transferable. You may not transfer or sell your Comic-Con professional badge.
As always, the issuance of a creative or trade Professional badge is at the sole discretion of Comic-Con International.
