Langley (Henderson State University) and the students of the Comics &

Justin Poole. Personality tests will correlate how fans view themselves,
favorite characters, Batman, and someone with ideal mental health. (2) "There's
No Place Like Oz: Comic Book Conventions Bolster Fans' Self-Esteem," Thomas
Sepe and Mark Head test the hypothesis that convention involvement
will improve fans' life views. (3) "Waiting for No One, Part 1" by Alex Langley
and Katrina Hill. Interview data will compare theoretical perspectives
examining what fans get out of waiting in convention lines even though the lines
might be too long for them to see the expected celebrity or other attraction.
(4) "Waiting for No One, Part 2" Carly L.

of successful and unsuccessful convention experiences. Overview: Robert O'Nale
