Coffee, Creativity and Careers at WonderCon…
It's the "WOW!" factor that has brought together the likes of WonderCon with the
ingenuity of
www.greenlightjobs.com in a first ever Career Café hosted by the
online recruitment website for the 2008 WonderCon.
Job seekers, talent seekers and of course, coffee seekers will find a respite
among the whirlwind that is WonderCon, to network and interview. "It's not
your typical job fair," cites Lisa Kaye, President & CEO, greenlightjobs,
"greenlightjobs is providing a unique and fun way for job seekers and creative
talent to showcase their work to recruiters eager to locate talent at
WonderCon."
Greenlightjobs, is the online recruitment website which specializes in the
placement of creative and technical talent in the media and entertainment
industry. Greenlightjobs boasts an impressive client list including, MTV
Networks, Nickelodeon, Lucasfilm, Blue Sky Studios, ABC/Disney, Paramount among
other leading employers. Recruiters reap the rewards of an expedited hiring
process by leveraging greenlightjobs' global database of pre-screened, ready-to-
hire talent and technology that pinpoints potential hires based on
compatibility. Job seekers have the ability to upload portfolios and reels and
conduct a targeted search of job postings on greenlightjobs' job board at
www.spotlightjobs.com.
Located adjacent to Artists' Alley,
the greenlightjobs Career Café will offer a coffee lounge with Internet capabilities, a seating area for private, one-on-one
meetings between job seekers and recruiters, a forum for those who are looking
for feedback on their creative portfolios from recruiters from the entertainment
world-and coffee, of course! Job seekers can avoid long lines (although that's
what the coffee is for!) and benefit from pre-event exposure with recruiters
seeking to set up interviews during WonderCon by pre-registering at
www.spotlightjobs.com.
Recruiters interested in reserving FREE space in the WonderCon Career Café are
encouraged to register at the site NOW as premium space is booking up!
The Career Café will offer a new, fun way for attendees to network and is a
valuable bonus for attendees. Proving the success of this first-ever event, the
organizations will look to duplicate this event at Comic-Con International at
the San Diego Convention Center, July 24-27, 2008.
