What the Pros say about WonderCon!
Wondering about WonderCon? Here's what some of comics most famous
professionals (and former WonderCon guests) say about this great
Bay Area show!
While the San Diego Comic-Con is the biggest celebration of the world of
comics, WonderCon remains one of the most fun and intimate venues. Being
right smack-dab in the middle of San Francisco, surrounded by amazing bars,
restaurants, and sights, offers a unique location that can't be beat.
-- Jim Lee
(artist, Batman, Superman)

WonderCon is a blast, a delight. All the heart of the San Diego convention
while being a bit more intimate in size, allowing for better contact between
pros and fans. Another home-run from the fan-friendly folks who gave us San
Diego Comic-Con.
-- J. Michael Straczynski
(writer, Amazing Spider-Man, Supreme Power, Bablyon 5)

Take the excitement of Comic-Con International and fuse it with
the clubby feel of the classic San Diego show and you have WonderCon.
For a pro it's the best of both worlds, the chance to get caught
up with all the latest industry news while kicking back with
old friends.
-- Paul Dini
(writer, Batman: The Animated Series, Duck Dodgers)

|
Whereas other conventions feel more and more like work, WonderCon is
pure fun for a comic book guy like me!
-- Bill Morrison
(art director/cartoonist, Bongo Comics, Futurama)

I really enjoyed my time at WonderCon in 2003. The Moscone Center was spacious
and comfortable whilst the hotel accommodation was first rate and handily
situated. Of course, San Francisco is a great city, too! I particularly liked
the scale of the show; not too sprawling and hectic. I got to do and see
everything I wanted and had time to socialize.
-- Dave Gibbons
(writer/artist, Watchmen, The Originals)

WonderCon was nothing but a joy, and being in the heart of San Francisco
is a huge bonus. The food, the wharf, and the atmosphere really make this
more than just another comic convention. It's a vacation.
-- Geoff Johns
(writer, Flash, Teen Titans, JSA, Green Lantern: Rebirth)
|
I had a great time at WonderCon and insofar as I could tell,
everyone else did, as well. It's the friendliest of cons in
the friendliest of cities.
-- Mark Evanier
(comics, animation and TV writer, comics historian)
