WonderCon Announces Trio of Exclusive Star Wars Programming from Lucasfilm

Lucasfilm at WonderCon 2006!

The Force is strong in this one...and this one is WonderCon 2006! Once again, our friends at Lucasfilm join us for a series of great events over the WonderCon weekend!

Lucas Licensing Portfolio Review

Do you have what it takes to create art for the Star Wars galaxy? Troy Alders, Art Director at Lucas Licensing, will conduct portfolio reviews, provide critiques, and offer tips for aspiring artists. Friday, Feb. 10, 3:00-5:00PM, Room 2022.

Special presentation: Star Wars Saga - There's More to Come! - with Steve Sansweet

Steve Sansweet, Head of Fan Relations at Lucasfilm, will share what's on the horizon from the talented crews at Lucasfilm, LucasArts, Lucas Animation, and Industrial Light & Magic. Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, the biggest box office film of 2005, may be out on DVD, but the saga is far from over. Letterman Digital Arts Center, the new home of Lucasfilm Ltd., is in San Francisco's Presidio, and it's home to the next generation of creative minds in entertainment. Don't miss this exciting opportunity to hear what's next. Saturday afternoon, time TBD.

Lucasfilm to Present Prize for Best Star Wars Costume at Masquerade

Attention Star Wars costumers: enter your best Star Wars costume creation in the Masquerade on Saturday night at WonderCon. You'll be eligible to win a special prize chosen from the Lucasfilm Licensing archives, presented by Lucasfilm to the entrant with the best costume in the Star Wars category. WonderCon Masquerade, Saturday night, Feb. 11, 7:30PM, Room 3000.

Star Wars Fan Films: Dark Side or Light?

How do you take your fan films? Join Lucasfilm for a friendly competition between "Dark Side" and "Light Side" Star Wars fan films. All the short movies in the late-night presentation are selected from the best finalists in Lucasfilm and AtomFilms' Star Wars Fan competition. Now in its fifth year, the competition recognizes outstanding achievements in fan films, with the top prize each year chosen by Star Wars writer/director George Lucas. Come and show your support for the Light side of the Force or the Dark! Those on the winning side will take home a Star Wars souvenir of the evening. Saturday night, Feb. 11, time approximate after the Masquerade, Room 2014

This is the programming schedule as of press time. For last-minute additions and changes, please check the complete schedule signs posted in the programming Room hallways. Panelists scheduled to appear at each event are subject to change. See the Moscone Center West site map (included in PDFs and on the back cover of the Program Book) for Room locations. All programming rooms are on the second level of Moscone West; the Masquerade is on the third level on Saturday night.

Please note that all programs have limited seating and are on a first-come, first-served basis. Because of the number of attendees, simply having a badge does not guarantee a seat in programs and events, nor an autograph from a specific celebrity. Rooms are not cleared between programs. This schedule is subject to change without notice.
