A LOOK BACK AT WONDERCON 2006

WonderCon Announces Trio of Exclusive World-Premiere Screenings!
WonderCon 2006 in San Francisco is THE place to be this February! In addition to a great line-up of comics-related special guests and programming, plus major Hollywood studio programs, WonderCon presents an amazing line-up of World Premiere screenings, one each day -- Friday, Saturday and Sunday, February 10, 11 and 12 -- that you'll see only at the first big comics convention of the year!

'Done the Impossible'
First off, on Friday night at 7:30pm, is the World Premiere of Done the Impossible, The Fans' Tale of Firefly and Serenity-A Documentary. It's the amazing story of how a devoted group of fans-the Browncoats-wouldn't let Joss Whedon's sci-fi TV show, Firefly, die. Out of the ashes came Serenity, the major motion picture, from Universal, released in September 2005 to critical acclaim. Interviews with writer/director Joss Whedon, cast members, crew, and, most importantly, the fans themselves, tell this vivid story.

'Ultimate Avengers: The Movie' DVD
On Saturday, Feb. 11, at 5:30pm, it's the World Premiere of Ultimate Avengers: The Movie! Marvel's mightiest heroes come to life in their first animated film from Marvel Animated Features and Lionsgate based on the top-selling comic book series, The Ultimates. The DVD doesn't come out until Feb. 21, but you can see this great, animated movie in its entirety ONLY at WonderCon before it debuts! Plus, dress up as your favorite Ultimates or Avengers hero and have the opportunity to be one of the first to own the DVD before it's released! The top 25 costumes will receive a free advance copy at the screening!

'Broken Saints' On Sunday at 3:00pm, catch the World Premiere Screening of the new DVD release of Broken Saints, the incredible, ground-breaking animated web series available Summer 2006 from Fox Home Entertainment. Winner of the 2003 Sundance Film Festival Audience Award for Online Animation, Broken Saints is a must-see for comics and animation fans. This “graphic novel come to life” fuses anime style art, comic book lettering, music and Flash animation into a 12-hour fantasy/horror epic, featuring the voices of William B. Davis (The X-Files), Kirby Morrow (Dragonball Z) and David Kaye (Beast Wars). Available exclusively on the Internet since 2001, the film was developed a huge cult-following seen by over 5 million viewers...now it’s your chance to sneak preview the first 3 chapters off the upcoming DVD release!

Please note that seating is limited for all of these events and is on a first-come, first-served basis.
