Comic-Con 2019 Toucan Tips

Your all-important badge is your key to Comic-Con 2019! Here’s some important information to help you get into Comic-Con and pick up your Bag, Books, and Lanyard (BBL)!

Badge Pick-Up

Picking up your badge onsite? You’ll need to bring two things: your badge confirmation and a valid photo ID. Bring both upstairs to Registration Area in the Sails Pavilion at the San Diego Convention Center to receive your badge. Please visit for hours.

Your badge confirmation should be in the email account associated with your Comic-Con Member ID, but if you can’t find it, fear not!

This year, we’ve implemented a new way for you to resend it! Simply follow the instructions below:

  1. Log in to your Comic-Con Member ID account
  2. Select the “Registration Info” tab
  3. Click the yellow “Resend Comic-Con Badge Confirmation” button

It’s that easy! If you do not receive your confirmation within 30 minutes, please check your “Opt-Outs” under the “My Account” tab to make sure “Third Party” is not selected.

Bags, Books, and Lanyard Pick-Up

You have your badge, your plans are set, and you’re on your way to celebrate Comic-Con 50! But wait—what will you carry your merch in? How will you wear your badge? And what about our amazing publications?

Events Guides, Quick Guides, Souvenir Books, Comic-Con lanyards, and bags will be available for pick-up upstairs in the Sails Pavilion at the Badged Member Bags, Books, and Lanyards (BBL) distribution area. Please be sure to enter the line from the Ballroom 20 Lobby via the Lobby E or G escalator. Badged members may not pick up their bags, books, and lanyards in the main Registration Area.

Your BBL will be available on the day of your earliest badge, during the times listed below:

Bag, Books, and Lanyard Hours
  • Wednesday, July 17:  10:00 AM– 9:00 PM
  • Thursday–Saturday, July 18–20:  8:30 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Sunday, July 21:  8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Remember, steer clear of long lines and wait times by avoiding the Badge Registration Area and the Lobby B/C escalator.

NEW FOR 2019! RFID Cards Are a Thing of the Past!

This year, a complete Comic-Con 2019 badge is made up of two pieces only: the plastic badge holder with an RFID sticker attached and your daily or 4-Day paper name badge(s). This means you will no longer have a separate RFID card in addition to your paper badge! You must wear and display your complete badge at all times while onsite and at any official Comic-Con event.

Your badge is invalid if it is missing the plastic holder or the attached RFID sticker.

Anyone with damaged or tampered with badges/RFID stickers will not be allowed access to the San Diego Convention Center. If your RFID sticker is damaged, or has been removed, please bring your badge confirmation, damaged badge/sticker, and a valid photo ID to the Attendee Badge Solutions Desk in the Sails Pavilion when you arrive onsite.
