#08: The Comic-Con Campus 2016

Comic-Con 2016 Toucan Tip of the Day

Once again, Comic-Con International extends beyond the many walls of the San Diego Convention Center to other venues in what we like to call the Comic-Con Campus. In 2016, the Campus contains 6 different downtown venues for Comic-Con Programming. (See the map below for locations.)

1. San Diego Convention Center (111 West Harbor Drive)

Headquarters for Comic-Con 2016: Exhibit Hall, Programming Rooms (upper level, plus Hall H on the lower level), Autographs (Sails Pavilion), Children’s Film Festival (Sunday only), Games (Mezzanine level), Lines for Giveaways (Sails Pavilion), Masquerade (20; Saturday night only), Portfolio Review (Sails Pavilion), and the following Registration-related areas: Bag/Books/Lanyard Pick-Up (Sails Pavilion), Disabled Services (Lobby A), and Industry (Exhibitors and Professionals) Registration (Lobby D)


2. Hilton San Diego Bayfront (One Park Blvd.)

Indigo Ballroom programming (Thursday–Saturday); Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards (Friday evening); CBLDF Live Auction. (Saturday evening)


3. Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina Hotel (333 West Harbor Drive)

Anime (Grand Ballrooms 1 through 4), Attendee Registration and International Badge Pick-Up (Pacific 14-19), CCI-IFF (Film Festival, Pacific 23), Comic-Con Merch (Pacific 26), Comic Creator Connection (Fri. & Sun., Santa Rosa Room), Fan Culture Room (Pacific 24), Films (Marina Ballroom D, South Tower), Games (Marina Ballroom E-F, South Tower), Hospitality Suite (Marina Ballroom G, South Tower), Nintendo Lounge (San Diego Ballroom, North Tower), Playback Room (Grand Ballroom 6), Volunteer Registration (Pacific 21) (More info on the Marriott Marquis tomorrow!)


4. Manchester Grand Hyatt (One Market Place)

Blood Drive (Manchester C), Programming Premiums (Manchester AB), Her Universe Fashion Show (Thursday only, Harbor)


5. Horton Grand Theatre (444 4th Ave.)

Ticketed programming events (tickets are free; info on how to get them and the schedule of events coming soon)


6. San Diego Central Library (330 Park Blvd.)

Education and librarian programs (Wednesday-Saturday, Shiley Events Suite. 9th floor); Podcasts and Web Series programs (Neil Morgan Auditorium, ground level)
