COMIC-CON INTERNATIONAL REGISTRATION UPDATE

It's Tech Time!

Comic-Con International Registration Update

Don’t let Mr. Waternoose scare you! Follow the simple screams below and, if you collect enough, you’ll be ready for the Expo Logic waiting room and registration process! And remember, I’m baring my soul here. The least you can do is pay attention.

Scream 1: Check your browser compatibility!

Not sure if your browser is compatible? Click here to check your current settings. It is very important that you avoid using multiple tabs, private browsing, or incognito applications during your registration session.

Be sure to use a laptop or desktop during Returning Registration. Comic-Con cannot guarantee that mobile devices, including iPads and other tablets, will behave as expected. Also, check that you have a reliable and secure internet connection, so that you are not accidentally disconnected from the waiting room. The Wi-Fi can be spotty on the scare floor!

Scream 2: Use our suggested browsers!

The Expo Logic waiting room and badge registration system have been tested on the browsers listed below:

  • Firefox: Any Version
  • Google Chrome: Any Version
  • Internet Explorer: Version 11
  • Safari: Version 7 or later
  • Microsoft EDGE: Any Version

Sully didn’t become Top Scarer in Monstropolis by using an outdated version of Safari!

Scream 3: Enable JavaScript and cookies!

These features are usually enabled in the default configuration of most modern web browsers. However, we highly suggest double-checking that Randall Boggs didn’t disable them!

Scream 4: Check your power saving settings!

Avoid letting your computer go into sleep mode or powering down during your registration session. Boo may need a nap, but your computer doesn’t!

Scream 5: Don’t post photos of your registration session online!

Mike Wazowski, in a moment of excitement (He couldn’t help it! He just saw himself on TV!), posts a photo of his session online as soon as he enters the waiting room, and – oh no! – his personal registration code is embedded in the URL. If you post a photo of the waiting room, any monster from the scare floor will be able to use your code to enter the waiting room and hijack your registration session! If they do, the session in your own browser will expire.

Bonus Scream: Are there any other ways I can gain an advantage in the Expo Logic waiting room?

Luck, patience, and scary feet will be your most powerful weapons during the Expo Logic badge registration process, and these screamin’ tech tips will certainly help. If you are selected for a registration session, read through each step carefully and don’t choose a door too quickly.

Thank you! You’ve been a wonderful audience. I’ll be here all week. Don’t forget to tip your waitress.
