How do I know if I’m eligible for Comic-Con 2018 Returning Registration?
Easy peasy! To see if you are eligible, log in to your Comic-Con Member ID account and look in the top, right corner. If you see the green “OK CCI’18 Paid Attendee Return Reg” flag, you are able to participate! Only Comic-Con 2017 paid attendees are eligible to participate in Comic-Con 2018 Returning Registration.
When will I receive my registration code and link to the Expo Logic waiting room?
At least 48 hours prior to October 28, you will receive an email with your unique registration code and a link to the Expo Logic waiting room. You will also be able to access your registration code and waiting room link via your Comic-Con Member ID account at least 48 hours prior to the sale.
My friend is buying my badge for me. Where will it be shipped?
Excellent question! Badges will be shipped to each individual attendee. You do not need to enter a shipping address during checkout. If your friend buys a badge for you, it will be shipped to the shipping address on file in your Comic-Con Member ID account as of May 14, 2018. To check your shipping address, log in to your Member ID account and select the “Contact Info” tab.
What should I do if I forget to change my shipping address before Returning Registration begins?
No problem! Because badges will begin shipping about 3 - 4 weeks before Comic-Con, you have until May 14, 2018 to enter the correct shipping address in your Comic-Con Member ID account. To check your shipping address, log in to your Member ID account and select the “Contact Info” tab.
I am an international attendee. Where will my badge be shipped?
Toucans can fly, but we are unable to ship badges to an international address. International attendees may pick up their badge when they arrive onsite. Badge pick up hours and locations will be posted at www.comic-con.org/cci/badge-pickup as we get closer to the event. If you would like to have your badge shipped to a United States address, please log in to your Comic-Con Member ID account, click the “Contact Info” tab, and update your shipping address.
Can I use my registration code and Expo Logic waiting room link again during Open Registration?
Definitely not. If you are eligible to participate in both Returning Registration and Open Registration, you will receive a different registration code and waiting room link prior to Open Registration. The code and link used during Returning Registration will not work after the sale.
Can I share my registration code, or use it more than once?
When participating in Returning Registration, always remember Professor Toucan’s “one code, one browser” rule! A registration code may be redeemed for one entry into the Expo Logic waiting room only. If the code is used more than once, or in multiple browsers, the most recent use will be considered active – causing prior sessions to expire. If you share your code, you run the risk of being shut out!
I am eligible for Returning Registration, but my friends and family aren’t. Can I purchase badges for them?
No. If you are eligible for Returning Registration and wish to purchase badges for friends/family, they must be eligible for Returning Registration as well.
What time do I need to enter the Expo Logic waiting room? Is it 8:00 AM or 9:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT)?
The Expo Logic waiting room will open at 8:00 AM (PDT) for registration code entry and badges will go on sale shortly after 9:00 AM (PDT). However, you do not need to arrive at 8:00 AM (PDT) to participate! Arriving early to the waiting room does not give you an advantage. Since I know you’ll be up early in anticipation, sleep in, make some pancakes, and arrive about 10 – 15 minutes before 9:00 AM (PDT). That said, please keep in mind that the waiting room will close at 9:00 AM (PDT) sharp. You must authorize your registration code prior to 9:00 AM (PDT) to participate in Returning Registration.
So if I get to the waiting room before 9:00 AM (PDT), am I guaranteed a badge?
Admittance to the Expo Logic waiting room does not guarantee you a badge, regardless of what time you enter the waiting room. There are more eligible members than badges available during Returning Registration. When the badge sale begins at 9:00 AM (PDT), members will be randomly moved from the waiting room to a registration session. Not all members will be selected for a registration session. If you are unable to purchase a badge during Returning Registration, you will be able to participate in Open Registration at a later date.
I am eligible for Returning Registration, and I’d like to get a badge for my daughter, age 7. Does she need a Comic-Con Member ID? Does she need to participate in Returning Registration?
Great news! Comic-Con is proud to offer complimentary badges to children age 12 and under with a paying adult! Children do not need a Member ID. Just arrive onsite and head over to the Attendee Registration Area. You can also check out our Child Badge Policy for additional information.
If I am able to purchase some of the badges I want during Returning Registration, will I be able to participate in Open Registration to try to buy the rest?
As long as you did not purchase a 4-Day with Preview Night badge during Returning Registration, you will be eligible to participate in Open Registration. This includes Preview Night upgrades. For example, if you are able to purchase all four daily badges (Thursday through Sunday) during Returning Registration, you will be eligible to participate in Open Registration if you want to add Preview Night. And here’s the part Professor Toucan hates the most … there are more eligible members than badges available in both sales. You are not guaranteed a badge purchase during either sale, regardless of when you enter the waiting room.
When is Open Registration?
We are hoping to launch Open Registration before the new year! The earlier we can get you your badge, the earlier you can start making travel arrangements. If Professor Toucan keeps working around the clock, be on the lookout for Open Registration announcements in late November or early December.
If I purchase an attendee badge for Comic-Con 2018 but cannot attend, will I still qualify for Comic-Con 2019 Returning Registration?
Yes! However, because we are always looking for ways to improve upon the registration and badge purchase process, Comic-Con International reserves the right to change eligibility requirements at any time, without notice. For more information, please review the Comic-Con Terms and Conditions.
