Returning Registration Codes: Join the Club!
Registration code \ˌre-jə-ˈstrā-shən ˈkōd\ (noun): A unique code provided to every eligible attendee, needed to log in to the Expo Logic waiting room. These codes help keep out members who are not eligible for registration and block those irksome bots that aim to crash the system.
If you are eligible to participate in Returning Registration, your personal registration code will be sent to you via email at least 24 hours prior to the sale. If you do not receive this email, don’t fret! You will also be able to access your personal registration code by logging in to your Comic-Con Member ID account and selecting the “Registration Info” tab. Registration codes will be available in your Member ID account starting March 10, 2017.
Welcome to registration codes.
The first rule of registration codes is: you do not share your registration code. Your personal registration code will only allow you 1 entry into the Expo Logic waiting room. Do not use multiple devices or browsers with the same registration code. One registration code per browser.
The second rule of registration codes is: you DO NOT share your registration code! If you share your registration code with another person, whoever uses the registration code last will be the only person allowed to enter the Expo Logic waiting room.
Third rule of registration codes: log into your Comic-Con Member ID account to check your eligibility status, locate your registration code, and ensure all of your contact information is correct. Only members who are eligible will receive a registration code. While you’re in your Member ID account, double-check your contact information – specifically your mailing address, as this is where badges will be delivered if you make a purchase.
Fourth rule: be prepared. You’ll need a few things before Returning Registration begins, aside from a single-serving sugar or a tiny bar of soap. Make sure you have your registration code, the link to the Expo Logic waiting room, your Member ID (and the Member IDs of those you plan to purchase for), the last names of those you plan to purchase for, and your Visa/MasterCard/American Express payment information.
Fifth rule: if you are accidentally removed from the Expo Logic waiting room or temporarily lose connectivity, your registration session is not over. As long as you entered the Expo Logic waiting room prior to 9:00 AM Pacific Standard Time (PST), simply return to the waiting room link and re-enter your registration code. Removal from the waiting room will not impact your chances of being randomly selected for a registration session.
Sixth rule: no back button, no refresh button, no multiple browser tabs. Resist the urge to click the back or refresh buttons, as this can cause technical issues. If you are a family with multiple eligible attendees using the same computer, use a different browser for each registration code. DO NOT use different tabs within the same browser.
Seventh rule: only use a laptop or desktop. Comic-Con International cannot guarantee that mobile devices, including iPads and other tablets, will behave as expected.
And the eighth and final rule: arrive on time! The Expo Logic waiting room will open for registration code authorization at 8:00 AM PST on March 11, 2017. You must authorize your registration code for entry to the waiting room prior to 9:00 AM PST. The waiting room will close for entry promptly at 9:00 AM PST and if you did not enter your code in time, you will be shut out! Don't get kicked out of the club, make sure you arrive at least 10 – 15 minutes prior to 9:00 AM PST.
