A Spooky Comic-Con 2019 Announcement!
It’s Halloween, and we've got a treat for you .... Comic-Con Open Registration is on November 10, 2018! (No trick!) You can access the Expo Logic waiting room beginning at 8:00 AM Pacific Standard Time (PST). The badge sale will begin shortly after 9:00 AM PST.
As long as you have not purchased or registered for the Preview Night (Wednesday, July 17) option, and your Comic-Con Member ID was created and confirmed prior to October 31, 2018 at 9:30 AM PST, you are eligible to participate in Open Registration. To see if you are eligible, simply log in to your Comic-Con Member ID account and look in the top, right corner. If you see the green “OK CC’19 Attendee Open Reg” flag, you are ghoul to go!
Although the waiting room will creak open for entry at 8:00 AM PST, badges won’t go on sale until shortly after 9:00 AM PST. There is no need to hop on a broom stick and rush to the waiting room at 8:00 AM PST! When the badge sale begins, members will be selected for a registration session at random. Feel free to pour a cup of witch’s brew and join us about 10 – 15 minutes prior to 9:00 AM PST.
If you are eligible, your personal registration code and a link to the Expo Logic waiting room will be sent to you via email at least 48 hours in advance of the sale. If you do not receive your email (perhaps it got stuck in a haunted corn maze), log in to your Comic-Con Member ID account and check the “Registration Info” tab. Your registration code and link to the waiting room will be there at least 48 hours in advance of the sale.
If you’re planning on joining the crowd in their enthusiastic cloud, beware of joining a badge buying group with people you don’t know! Comic-Con cannot help if any ghosts or gargoyles post your registration code or personal information online. Your registration code is only good for one entry into the waiting room and sharing your code could get you locked in a tomb. Also, if someone in your buying group attempts to sell or scalp their badge, all badges in the order will be canceled, including yours. Talk about filling your dreams to the brim with fright. Don't risk it!
If you are eligible to participate, your Comic-Con Member ID account is currently locked for changes. But don’t let that frighten you! The deadline to change the badge shipping address in your Member ID account isn’t until May 13, 2019, so check back sometime after the sale and you can update your shipping address, if needed.
Thinking about buying a badge for your little pumpkin? No need, bone daddy! Comic-Con offers one of the most generous child badge policies in the industry. Children age 12 and under are free with a paid adult!
We know that obtaining a Comic-Con badge can sometimes feel like bobbing for apples, but there are simply far more eligible members than badges available. Entry to the waiting room does not guarantee you a badge or registration session.
