COMIC-CON INTERNATIONAL UPDATE

The SuperVolunteer Challenge is Back, Back Again!

Over the past few @Home events, we have most looked forward to seeing our volunteers help their communities by volunteering in numerous ways. Since Comic-Con will once again be virtual for 2021, we are issuing another call-to-action!

Participation is easy! Between now and July 26, 2021:

1) Choose an organization in your area that is accepting new volunteers and start a volunteer assignment. Tell us a little about your experience via email (the address can be found below!) and send a photo or two if the organization will allow it.

Suggestions: vaccine centers, food banks, animal shelters, donate blood, Meals-on-Wheels, etc. Here are 3 websites that can help you find current volunteer opportunities in your area:

  1. VolunteerMatch.org
  1. Idealist.org
  1. AllforGood.org

2) After you complete your volunteer assignment, let us know by emailing your story and photo(s) to sdccvolchallenge@comic-con.org. Be sure to include your Comic-Con Member ID in the email.

You may also be featured on Toucan, the official blog of Comic-Con and WonderCon! If you would like to be featured, please give us explicit permission to post your experience and photos when you write in.

For those amazing volunteers who complete the challenge, we will send you a downloadable SuperVolunteer badge in recognition of your volunteer service! Please allow 3 – 5 business days to receive an email reply with your badge.

Proudly display your SuperVolunteer badge knowing you are making a difference.
