(This URL directs to your outlet\u2019s dedicated registration portal.) Share this copied URL with your outlet member(s) to complete their press badge registration. Your member(s) will need their Member ID credentials and Press Title to complete the registration process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>IMPORTANT NOTE: Limit the sharing of your copied URL only to the members you have approved to attend WonderCon 2026 on your outlet\u2019s behalf. Press Badge Registration for your outlet will close once all allocated press badges have been registered. Again, this URL is exclusively for your outlet\u2019s press badge registration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have successfully completed the press badge registration process you will receive an order receipt email within 24 hours. If eligible, your badge will be shipped to the \u201cPrimary Shipping Address\u201d that is listed on your Member ID as of Thursday, February 12, 2026.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that we cannot ship to international addresses. If your \u201cPrimary Shipping Address\u201d is outside of the United States, you must pick up your badge when you arrive on-site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-overline\"><strong>BADGE PICK-UP<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the convention approaches, we will send out barcode confirmation emails. If you do not receive your badge in the mail, bring your barcode confirmation email and a valid photo ID to the Press desk in Hall D of the Anaheim Convention Center to pick up your press badge. Badge pick-up hours will be listed on the barcode confirmation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-large has-brand-primary-color has-text-color\">PRESS QUALIFICATIONS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We require that applying press must demonstrate a minimum of 18 months of continuous coverage. We accept press operating in fields such as comic books, book publishing, animation, film, television, gaming, and other popular arts-related industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-overline has-brand-primary-color has-text-color\" style=\"padding-top:0;padding-bottom:0\">Press outlets are classified into <strong>ONE OF THE<\/strong> five media types:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol style=\"padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--50)\" class=\"wp-block-list is-style-small-text\">\n<li>Blog\/Podcast<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Broadcast Media (television or radio)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Digital Media (online)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Documentary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Print Media (newspaper or magazines)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s important to note that individuals covering solely on social media platforms or community forums do not meet our criteria for a press badge. Influencers are not currently eligible for press badges unless they also operate their own website or channel, outside of social media platforms, that provide coverage of popular arts-related industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left is-style-large has-brand-primary-color has-text-color\">HOW TO APPLY AS PRESS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-border-color has-brand-secondary-border-color has-base-white-alpha-background-color has-background has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-container-core-group-is-layout-80fb368b wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"border-width:10px;border-radius:8px;padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30)\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center is-style-overline is-style-medium has-base-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3001c9c494abd585ecb09c827d732041\">PRESS APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR WONDERCON 2026:<br>Friday, January 16, 2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-small\">*Applications submitted after this date will only be considered for WonderCon 2026 on-site press registration. Approval is not guaranteed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>New Press and Returning Press with a Verification Status of \u201cNOT QUALIFIED\u201d must submit the Press Outlet Application to be considered for press badges to our conventions. Returning Press can view their Verification Status via the \u201cMy Outlets\u201d section of the Outlet Key Contact\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/comic-con.configio.com\/\"><strong>Member ID account<\/strong><\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-overline has-brand-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-4b8b755ec9649e4517ff4878813d563b\">OUTLET KEY CONTACT (OKC)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To begin, please establish who will be the OKC of the outlet listed on the Press Application. The OKC is the primary person responsible for facilitating communication between the press outlet and WonderCon\/Comic-Con. This person will also be responsible for registering press badges, if approved. There can only be one OKC per press outlet. However, an OKC may be the OKC for multiple outlets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are the only person applying to attend as press from your outlet, you will serve as the OKC on the Press Application. Additionally, freelance press members who would like to apply must submit the Press Application as their own OKC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The OKC must have a Comic-Con Member ID account to submit the Press Application. To create a Member ID, please click <a href=\"https:\/\/comic-con.configio.com\/\"><strong><strong class=\"has-bold-text\">here<\/strong><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-overline has-brand-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-e559a31196b757b178d472825285828f\">VERIFICATION MATERIALS<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Verification materials are information and examples that confirm the legitimacy of the outlet and work. The specific verification materials that must be included with the Press Application are based on what &#8220;Media Type&#8221; the outlet is classified in (see PRESS QUALIFICATIONS above.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An Assignment Letter must also be included with the Press Application as a verification material. This is a signed letter on company letterhead from the head of the outlet designating the OKC. The letter must include the OKC\u2019s full name, title, and Member ID, as well as outlining the outlet\u2019s interests and reasons for attending as press.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Freelance press members must provide an Assignment Letter from the outlet they are representing, confirming their assignment to cover our conventions on the outlet\u2019s behalf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-border-color has-brand-secondary-border-color has-base-white-alpha-background-color has-background has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-container-core-group-is-layout-80fb368b wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"border-width:10px;border-radius:8px;padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30)\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center is-style-large\"><strong class=\"has-bold-text\">To access the 2026 Press Application visit: <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/26PressApp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/bit.ly\/26PressApp<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-overline has-brand-primary-color has-text-color\">SUBMITTED PRESS APPLICATIONS<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the OKC has successfully submitted the Press Application they will receive an emailed <strong>Order Receipt <\/strong>from <a href=\"mailto:donotreply@comic-con.org\"><strong>donotreply@comic-con.org<\/strong><\/a> with the subject \u201c<strong>Press Application Submission \u2013 WonderCon and Comic-Con 2026<\/strong>.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please allow 4 \u2013 6 weeks for processing and review. All press applications are processed in the order in which they are received. The OKC may forward their Order Receipt to <a href=\"mailto:pressreg@comic-con.org\">pressreg@comic-con.org<\/a> if they have not yet received any notification about the application after the processing and review time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the Press Application has been reviewed, the OKC will then receive an email with SDCC\u2019s decision on the outlet\u2019s approval to attend our convention(s) as Press. The Verification Status of the outlet will be updated accordingly in the &#8220;My Outlets&#8221; section of the OKC&#8217;s Member ID account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Press outlet verification approval status is valid for two consecutive years, under the discretion of SDCC.
