Comic-Con 2026 Announces Seventh Wave of Special Guests
In addition to its previously announced 30 names, Comic-Con welcomes David Gerrold, Nicole Goux, William Stout, and Scott Williams as Special Guests for 2026.

David Gerrold
David Gerrold has been writing professionally for more than half a century. He created the tribbles for Star Trek and the Sleestaks for Land of the Lost. He has written for Babylon 5, Twilight Zone, and other TV series. His most famous novel is The Man Who Folded Himself. His semi-autobiographical tale of his son’s adoption, “The Martian Child,” won both the Hugo and the Nebula awards and was the basis for the 2007 movie starring John Cusack and Amanda Peet. His latest novel is Hella, about a world where dinosaurs still roam. He lives in Vermont and still writes stories and novels. He was a frequent guest at the earliest San Diego Comic-Cons.

Nicole Goux
Nicole Goux (she/her) is an Eisner Award–nominated illustrator and cartoonist from Los Angeles. She’s the artist of DC’s Shadow of the Batgirl and co-creator with Dave Baker of Forest Hills Bootleg Society (Simon and Schuster: Atheneum). Her most recent graphic novel, This Place Kills Me in collaboration with Mariko Tamaki (Abrams Fanfare), is nominated for the 2026 Eisner Award for Best Publication for Teens. His studiomates included Dave Stevens and Paul Chadwick. Bill co-founded the Comic Art Professional Society and was their tenth president. He created the iconic Wizards movie poster, then worked on over 70 movies, including Return of the Living Dead and Masters of the Universe. He helped Pan’s Labyrinth win two Oscars. Michael Crichton claimed Stout’s dinosaur reconstructions inspired Jurassic Park. Bill’s 50+-year career overview, Fantastic Worlds: The Art of William Stout, was published in 2018. Coming out from Flesk just in time for Comic-Con is William Stout’s Comics volume 1.
