After careful review, it appears the Eisner winners list was inadvertently made public by an internal error. As is customary, each year the list is populated with winners from each category and plugged into the website for later publication. This year, the process was unknowingly updated with the site being live. This continued for about 45 minutes until the error was caught and the site went offline as it should have been from the start.

We clearly regret this error and are grateful to those news outlets who reported the issue but did not publish the information. We are also thankful to the many who attended the Eisner Awards ceremony the evening of July 24 to celebrate the winners and those who were nominated.
