Floyd Norman

Venerated animator Floyd Norman is known for his long relationship with the Disney Company, which began in 1959 with Sleeping Beauty and over the years included 101 Dalmatians, Mary Poppins, The Sword in the Stone, The Jungle Book, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Mulan, and Home on the Range. With digital filmmaking on the horizon, Floyd chose to move north to join an innovative new studio called Pixar Animation Studios in 1999, where he developed such innovative films as Toy Story 2 and Monsters, Inc. He is the subject of the 2016 documentary Floyd Norman: An Animated Life.
