Announcing the Second Wave of Comic-Con 2026 Guests!

In addition to the four names announced previously, Comic-Con is pleased to welcome Huda Fahmy, Briana Loewinsohn, Gordon Purcell, and Derek V. Song as Special Guests for 2026!

Huda Fahmy was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. She is the author and illustrator of the webcomic series Yes, I’m Hot in This, the graphic memoir That Can Be Arranged, and the widely popular Huda F graphic novel series. Her book Huda F Cares? was a 2023 finalist for the National Book Award for Young People’s Literature. The final book in the Huda F series will be out in October. She is currently working on a horror anthology and a middle-grade vampire series slated for 2028.


Briana Loewinsohn is the author of the graphic memoir Ephemera (Fantagraphics, 2023), which was listed as one of the ALA’s top graphic novels of 2023 and was awarded the 2023 Foreword Indies Editors Prize for nonfiction. Her latest book, Raised by Ghosts (Fantagraphics, 2025), won the Harvey Award for Best Young Adult Graphic Novel of 2025 as well as the ALA GNCRT Best Young Adult Graphic Novel of 2025. Briana lives in Oakland  with her husband and two kids and a cat named Gary.


Gordon Purcell is a comic book artist perhaps best known for his Star Trek work, in particular his realistic renditions of the actors who play that franchise’s characters, as well as those of similarly licensed comic books, such as The X-Files, Xena, Lost in Space, Godzilla, Young Indiana Jones, Barb Wire, and Stargate Atlantis. His many other credits include Deep Space Nine, Voyager, Soulsearchers and Company, The Flash, Fantastic Four, Superman, Robin, Wonder Man, What If?, Kolchak, Justice League, Ben 10, and Elvira. He’s currently working on Hollow Healer for Apex and Flare for Heroic.


Derek V. Song is an Asian American writer from Boston. Since debuting in 2023, Derek has amassed millions of readers across various titles on WEBTOON, including The Last Bloodline, The Primal Hunter, Paranoid Mage, and the recent adaptation of Dimension 20’s hit D&D series, Fantasy High.
