We are excited to reveal the cover art for our 2025 publications.
Souvenir Book
This year’s Souvenir Book features classic artwork by Peanuts creator Charles M.
Schulz. Featuring a small group of friends, Peanuts storylines were humorous with
oftentimes sociological undertones. Schulz’s comic strip ventured into television and film, and at its height appeared in over 2,500 newspapers. The cover art features friends waiting in line … something Comic-Con fans have turned into an art form. Schulz appeared at Comic-Con in 1974 and was presented with the Comic-Con Inkpot Award that same year.
Events Quick Guide
The 2025 Events Quick Guide features cover art by Oliver Bly, the 2024 recipient of the Russ Manning Promising Newcomer Award. Bly is the creator of The Mushroom Knight series of graphic novels. Given annually at Comic-Con, the Manning Award, as it is often called, is presented to a comics artist who, early in their career, shows a superior knowledge and ability in the art of creating comics. It is named for Russ Manning, the artist best known for his work on the Tarzan and Star Wars newspaper strips and the Magnus, Robot Fighter comic book. Russ was a popular guest at the San Diego convention in the 1970s.
