You Can Draw with Katie Cook 012: Snail Mail!

Time to get your pencils out again! We’re going to draw an OH-SO-ADORABLE rendition of SNAIL MAIL! For you kids out there, that’s the kind of mail us old fogies used to use before e-mail.

Step 1:

Start out by drawing this here rock shape.

Step 2:

Then we’re going to add a tail and head shape to that rock…kinda like a worm going through the rock!

Step 3:

Detail time! Swirls! A square! Antennae-thingys! 

Step 4:

Oh…let’s not forget a dopey smile and the details of the envelope.

Step 5:

Now, get out your black pen or marker and go over your pencil lines…it’s going to look like this! Erase your pencil lines.

Step 6:

Now color … but take your time! This snail isn’t going anywhere fast!
