More Comic-Con 2026 Guests Announced

In addition to the 25 names already announced, Comic-Con is delighted to welcome Matt Fraction, Ryan Ottley, John J. Pearson, J. Michael Straczynski, and Stephanie Williams as Special Guests for 2026.

Matt Fraction co-created the New York Times bestselling books Sex Criminals and Hawkeye. He co-created and worked as a writer and executive producer on Apple TV’s Monarch: Legacy of Monsters and is executive producer on the adaptation of SEX CRIMINALS coming to Amazon Prime next year. He currently writes Adventureman at Image Comics and Batman for DC Comics. Matt lives with his wife writer Kelly Sue DeConnick, their children, and their dogs in Portland, Oregon.


Ryan Ottley is an American comic book artist best known for his work on the Invincible series. He is a contributing creator on the series who designed and co-created a large part of the Invincible universe with writer Robert Kirkman and is the primary artist for 127 issues of the 144-issue run. It is now an animated TV series on Amazon Prime, with Ottley acting as a consultant. After Invincible Ottley went to Marvel and did 20 issues on Amazing Spider-Man with writer Nick Spencer, then served as artist on HULK with writer Donny Cates; Ryan finished the run as both writer and artist. 


John J. Pearson is an Eisner Award–winning artist and illustrator based in Leeds, UK. He is the artist and co-creator of The Patron (with Christian Ward), The Smart Division (with Zack Kaplan) and In Bloom (with Michael Conrad). He has worked on Hellblazer: Dead in America and Batman: Urban Legends for DC Comics and The Department of Truth, Razorblades, The Infernals, and Blue in Green for Image Comics, as well as contributing to works published by Dark Horse, IDW, Heavy Metal, and BOOM! Studios among others.


J. Michael Straczynski created Babylon 5, co-created Sense8, wrote the Clint Eastwood film Changeling, and worked on Thor (movie and comic), World War Z, and the upcoming films One Second After and Liminal. He has written over 300 comics for Marvel, DC, Image, and Dark Horse, penning Amazing Spider-Man for Marvel for six years, returning recently for ASM: TORN. Recipient of the Eisner, Saturn, Inkpot, Eagle, SDCC Icon, and Ray Bradbury Awards, he was nominated for a British Academy Award (BAFTA). His newest novel, The Max, will appear spring/summer 2027, and after moving to London he is developing several TV series there.


Stephanie Williams is a research scientist turned prolific comics writer. She’s best known for helping to bring Nubia back to relevancy for DC Comics with Nubia and the Amazons and Nubia: Queen of the Amazons. She has worked on such titles as Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur: Wreck and Roll, My Little Pony, The Raven Boys, and Wonder Woman. She is currently writing Street Sharks with IDW Publishing, Roots of Madness with Ignition Press, and Temporal with Mad Cave Studios. Stephanie has been nominated for Best Writer in the 2026 Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards for those titles.
