Sangre, Sudor y Mito: The Art and Tradition of Mexican Lucha Libre

Step into the ring and immerse yourself in the dazzling, dramatic, and deeply rooted world of Mexican lucha libre. Sangre, Sudor y Mito (“Blood, Sweat, and Myth”) is a bold and immersive exhibition that celebrates the powerful legacy, cultural symbolism, and larger-than-life spectacle of lucha libre—Mexico’s legendary professional wrestling tradition.

Growing Up Luann

40 Years of Comics Now Appearing!

For four decades, millions of readers have grown up alongside Luann, sharing her awkward moments, relationship dramas, and identity crises. Created by Greg Evans (inspired by watching his five-year-old daughter Karen strutting in her mother’s heels and makeup), Luann became more than just a comic strip—it became a daily companion for anyone who ever felt uncertain about themselves, their appearance, or their place in the world.

Twenty Years of Kawaii & Chaos

Since its founding in 2005, tokidoki has become a worldwide phenomenon, captivating fans with its vibrant characters, fashion-forward collaborations, and a universe where sweetness meets rebellion. Journey through the evolution of tokidoki—from rare collectibles and original fine art, to large-scale statues. tokidoki is recognized internationally for its eye-popping aesthetic and criminally cute characters.

Parking:

Free parking is available near the museum and throughout Balboa Park. The closest Balboa Park parking lots to the Museum are the Pan American Plaza Lot and the Federal Lot. However, the use of public transportation or rideshare is strongly encouraged.

Public Transportation:

There are two primary bus routes to Balboa Park, Route 120 and Route 7.
The Museum is easily accessible and a 12-minute ride by taxi, Uber, or Lyft.
