Announcing the Third Wave of Comic-Con 2026 Guests!
In addition to the 10 names announced previously, Comic-Con is pleased to welcome Deniz Camp, Howard Mackie, Katie Skelly, Mark Waid, and Caspar Wijngaard as Special Guests for 2026!


Deniz Camp
Deniz Camp writes comics. The son of Turkish and Filipina immigrants, born in the Philippines but raised in the American midwest, he’s known for 20th Century Men (Image Comics), Ultimates (Marvel), Absolute Martian Manhunter (DC), Bleeding Hearts (Vertigo), and Assorted Crisis Events (Image). He has been nominated for five 2026 Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards. Deniz lives in Brooklyn with his wife and a handful of hope.

Howard Mackie
Howard Mackie was dragged—kicking and screaming—into writing his first comic book (Iron Man #211) by legendary writer/editor Mark Gruenwald in 1986, and he went on to chronicle the adventures of Danny Ketch: Ghost Rider, Spider-Man, Hawkeye, The X-Men, X-Factor, Mutant-X, Gambit, Wolverine, Batman, and countless others for Marvel, DC, and other publishers. Howard’s most recent work for Marvel was Ghost Rider: Return of Vengeance and Ghost Rider: Blood and Vengeance. He is currently developing four projects for 247 Comics.

Katie Skelly
Katie Skelly is a cartoonist based in Los Angeles. Her latest graphic novel, Heaven, will be released in July 2026 by Fantagraphics. Her previous titles include My Pretty Vampire, The Agency, and Maids, also from Fantagraphics. She is the co-host of the comics podcast Thick Lines with Sally Madden, editor of the Viscere horror anthology series, and creator of Bad Girl Tarot. She holds a B.A. in art history from Syracuse University.

Mark Waid
Over the course of his four decades in the comic book industry, New York Times bestselling author Mark Waid has developed characters and written stories for Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, The Avengers, X-Men, Archie, Star Wars, The Incredibles, Fantastic Four, Wonder Woman, Daredevil, Captain America, and almost every other franchise currently enjoying success across all media platforms. Kingdom Come, which he co-created for DC Comics, has become one of the best-selling graphic novels in history.

Caspar Wijngaard
Caspar Wijngaard is an award-winning, Eisner and Hugo Award–nominated comic artist from the U.K. Best known for his work on the critically acclaimed Image Comics series The Power Fantasy, which he co-creates with writer Kieron Gillen, his other notable creator-owned titles include All Against All, Home Sick Pilots, and Limbo. Caspar has also contributed to Marvel’s Star Wars, DC’s Batman: Detective Comics and Knight Terrors, and the metaclassic Peter Cannon, Thunderbolt: Watch.
