Final Wave of Guests Announced for WonderCon

WonderCon 2024 welcomes Jae Lee, Steve Oliff, and Stephen Silver as Special Guests, along with the 19 previously announced guests.

Jae Lee

Jae Lee is a Korean American comic book artist, known for his dark style. In 1990, he became one of the youngest artists ever to work for a major publisher. He is an Eisner Award winner for his work on Marvel’s Inhumans. His art can also be seen in Stephen King’s Dark Tower, Before Watchmen: Ozymandias, and Batman/Superman. Most recently, he returned to Image Comics with a creator-owned book titled Seven Sons.

Steve Oliff

Steve Oliff is a pioneer of digital color in comics. His company Olyoptics was the first to use computers to color comics, with Akira, in 1988. He started his career in 1978 coloring Bill Sienkiewicz’s first Moon Knight story in Hulk Magazine. From there he’s colored some of the most influential comics ever, including Spawn, The Maxx, Legends of the Dark Knight, Sandman, Avengers Forever, and hundreds more. He currently has an exhibit at Comic-Con Museum in Balboa Park, a Sandman project, and is finally finishing his Armature graphic novel.

Stephen Silver

Stephen Silver is a distinguished professional with a multifaceted career spanning over three decades, making significant contributions as a character designer, author, creativity speaker, and recruiter. Hailing from London and now calling Los Angeles home, Stephen has left an indelible mark on the animation landscape, contributing to the iconic character designs of beloved shows such as Disney’s Kim Possible, Nickelodeon’s Danny Phantom, and Disney’s Clerks: The Animated Series, among many others.
