L'ÉCHANTILLON D'ÉCRITURE/ART D'UNE PAGE
With so many rapid-fire conversations during Comic Creator Connection, it’s easy for names and ideas to blur together. That’s where your 1-page sample comes in as your creative calling card!
Bring a printed single-page sample of your work to hand out during the event. Make sure it includes your name and contact info, plus anything else you think a potential collaborator should know about you. This is your chance to stand out, so don’t be afraid to make it personal, polished, and easy to remember.
Everyone will be collecting a stack of these by the end of the evening, so keep it short, sweet, and uniquely you.
Si vous êtes écrivain,
Si vous êtes un artiste,
Use your sample to show off your writing style or highlight the project you’re most excited to collaborate on. No need to include a full story. A short elevator pitch or teaser is perfect. You can also use the space to share your creative influences, favorite artists, or preferred styles.
Use your sample to show writers how you tell stories through visuals. Feel free to include a few panels if you’d like! Instead of just sharing your favorite artwork, give them a sense of how you’d use your style to support a story. It’s always great to mention your artistic influences, favorite writers, or preferred styles.
This is a great chance to meet fellow storytellers and maybe even find your next creative partner. Come ready to connect. Be open, curious, and kind. Bring your best ideas and take the time to learn from everyone you meet.
You’ll meet writers and artists at all levels, so let’s make sure everyone has a fun, supportive experience.
BE ON TIME!
This is not a typical Comic-Con program. Those who pre-register get priority seating. Any remaining spots will be filled first-come, first-served once the event starts.
EXAMEN GRATUIT DE L'ARGUMENTAIRE
Need help sharing your ideas? We’ve got you. Pitch reviews are back to help you practice talking about yourself or your project clearly and confidently.
Douglas Neff, professional speechwriter, speaker coach, and host of Comic Creator Connection, will be leading these quick one-on-one coaching sessions.
NOTE: This is not a panel. Each session lasts about three to five minutes. We’ll accommodate as many people as possible. First-come, first-served. Observers are welcome.
