Toucan Tip #1: Getting Ready for Comic-Con 2025!

It’s time to prepare! Take a look at our list of essential and recommended items to make sure you’re fully equipped for the convention.

Your Go-To Packing List for Comic-Con 2025

What are you waiting for? It’s time to get packing! We’ve put together a curated packing list to help you feel prepared so you can enjoy every moment of Comic-Con. You might even spot a few must-haves you hadn’t thought of—so don’t skip this list! A little planning now means less stress and more fun once you arrive.

Key Priorities:

✅ Badge or Barcode Confirmation!

You must have one of these to access the convention center! If you didn’t receive your badge in the mail, you’ll need to pick it up on-site with your confirmation email in hand. Check the schedule here to plan your pick-up time.

✅ Photo ID

From badge pick-up to random security checks, keep your photo ID (like a driver’s license, passport, or government-issued card) easily accessible at all times.

Autograph Materials

Prepare a dedicated booklet or special items to be signed, accompanied by various pens and markers. Make sure to review all payment information for signings and autographs, as they can vary depending on who is signing. Additionally, many celebrities or artists prefer using black pens when signing items.

Backpack or Tote Bag

You may want to bring a small bag to store your essentials and any new purchases. You can also use your complimentary souvenir bag that’s available in the Sails Pavilion. Remember that rolling carts, luggage, and similar items are not permitted in the Exhibit Hall.

Batteries/Phone Charger/Power Bank

Remember to bring extra batteries for your camera, battery banks for your phone, and other devices. Keep them close by for those moments when you need a quick power boost!

Business Cards/Resumes/
Portfolio Samples

Equip yourself with your finest business cards, resumes, and samples to enhance your networking opportunities.

Camera

Whether using a phone or a camera, capture those perfect moments. However, remember to leave selfie sticks or any other extending devices at home, as they are strictly prohibited on the premises.

Cash and Card

ATMs are available but often have long lines, so it’s a good idea to bring both cash and card. Some booths may offer deals for cash payments, while others may only accept cards to make transactions quicker and easier.

Comfortable Shoes

Comic-Con means lots of walking and standing, so skip the fashion risks and wear shoes your feet already trust.

Hotel/Travel Info

Printing out your reservation information ahead of time to make your hotel check-in quick or car pick-up stress-free.

Maps

Get the Official Comic-Con App for updated maps and schedules! With it, you can view maps that highlight all areas in and around the San Diego Convention Center, as well as nearby hotels.

Poster Tubes/Art Sleeves/Sturdy Folders

Get these on-site or save by purchasing ahead of the convention. The perfect print or surprise freebie could be just around the corner.

Want a sketch from your favorite artist? Bring a sturdy sketchbook. It keeps your impressive new drawing safe and protected.

Snacks

Keep your tummy happy and energy up by packing your favorite snacks. From trail mix to gummy bears, a stash of goodies can be a lifesaver in long lines or back at your hotel.

Sweatshirts, Jackets, Coats

Pack outerwear just in case, since our summer nights can get chilly and certain rooms in the convention center might be colder than expected.

With fans visiting from all over the world, a translation app can help you connect, chat, and make new friends. Say goodbye to language barriers and hello to shared fandom fun.
