For School Groups Visiting on Resident Free Tuesday:
- We highly recommend large school and camp groups choose a different day to visit the museum if possible, due to large crowds. To learn more about our group visit options, click here.
- School/Camp groups visiting on Resident Free Tuesday must adhere to the following rules:
- Children will be allowed to enter in groups of 30 or less. If your group is larger than 30, you will need to split into groups of 30 or less while maintaining appropriate chaperone ratios.
- Each group of 30 or less must have the following chaperone ratios present in order to enter the museum:
- Grades PK-2: 1 chaperone for every 5 children (1:5)
- Grades 3-12: 1 chaperone for every 10 children (1:10)
- The makerspace is available for all guests on Resident Free Tuesday. To ensure that all guests are able to use the makerspace, school groups will be limited to the use of eight seats (two tables) to cycle their students through, as space allows. This ensures that we are able to offer makerspace seats to all of our museum guests.
