A.D. Police: To Protect and Serve: Throughout Genom City, the Packer Syndicate is wreaking havoc by using violent robots called Boomers to commit crimes. The Advanced Police, also called the A.D. Police, are an elite squad of high-tech cops and are the only ones who can stop them to end the Syndicate’s crime wave. The reckless daredevil Kenji Sasaki and his new partner, Hans Kleif, are hot on the trail of the Syndicate’s devious leader but must resolve their differences, otherwise they may kill each other instead of destroying Boomers.
Anti-Magic Academy the 35th Test Platoon: As the 35th Platoon’s captain, Takeru Kusanagi is dedicated to protecting people from spellcraft by hunting down witches, but his misfit Platoon is comprised of an easily flustered sniper, a problematic tech, and Takeru always brings a sword to a gunfight. It gets worse when the director sends trigger-happy ex-inquisitor Ouka Ohtori to this team. Despite the chaos and lack of cohesion, Takeru cares about his team and mission, so he must somehow soothe Ouka’s rage at her past and pull his team together.
Aria the Origination: As the seasons change again, Akari, Aika, and Alice continue their training together and with their mentors to someday become Neo Venezia’s top female gondoliers, Prima Undines. They also must face and deal with even more responsibilities and challenges with their respective companies, but they still find time to have fun together. For Akari, Aika, and Alice, there still seems so much for them to learn, but their dreams of someday becoming a Prima, which once seemed so far away for them, might not be so far off anymore.
Battle Athletes: The competition is ruthless between training school students trying to get to the University Satellite to compete for the Cosmo Beauty title. For Akari, an added problem is that she’s the daughter of Tome Mido, the most famous Cosmo Beauty winner ever. Despite constant practice and support from her friends, the pressure from her mother’s record-setting legacy is an overwhelming burden for Akari. After badly losing a race to Jessie, a humiliated Akari folds and resigns from the school, but her friend Itchan will not allow her to give it up.
Call of the Night: While wandering late at night, insomniac student Ko Yamori is bitten by the female vampire Nazuna but then learns that he isn’t going to become a vampire. It seems that if you’re bitten by a vampire that you’re not in love with, you just get a bloodthirsty friend instead of a supernatural blood connection. Ko, intrigued by this knowledge, decides to make it his goal to fall in love with Nazuna. Ko’s friends are not thrilled with his new-found vampiric ambitions, and Nazuna herself may not be interested in a relationship with Ko.
Canaan: At an Anti-Terrorist Conference in Shanghai, photographer Maria Osawa is attacked by masked assassins and rescued by Canaan, a mysterious girl Maria once met before she got partial amnesia from an experimental cure for a deadly bio-weapon. Canaan’s a mercenary whose martial arts skills are augmented with the gift of synesthesia, seeing emotions as colors, and she’s in Shanghai hunting a former comrade who betrayed her, that will involve the conference and the lethal Ua virus, which gives a few survivors some very strange abilities.
Cardcaptor Sakura: An injured Dash Card, after fleeing from Sakura, is found and adopted by her friend Rei. It then helps her to run faster in the 100-meter dash while she’s training for an upcoming big track meet, so Sakura decides to delay sealing it but faces a moral dilemma when Shaoran senses its presence. When a huge cat chases Kero, Meling, Sharon, and Sakura, she stops it by sealing the Big Card. To protect the town that’s threatened by a fire-breathing dragon conjured up by the Create Card, Sakura must combine magic and courage to seal it.
Coppelion: Receiving a mysterious distress signal from the supposedly abandoned irradiated city of Odaiba, the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force dispatched three teenage girls, Ibara Naruse, Aoi Fukasaka, and Taeko Nomura, of the Dispatch 3rd Special Force Coppelion’s Healthcare Team to investigate. Due to genetic engineering, they possess special skills and immunity to radiation so they can journey to the ruined capital. These girls will use their skills and resources to rescue any possible survivors as they discover signs that life does exist there.
Cowboy Bebop: The Bebop crew is a motley team of intergalactic loners who track down and turn in fugitives for cash. The cool Spike hides a dark and deadly past. The pilot, Jet, is a brute who’s eager to collect the next bounty. Female fatale Faye Valentine will break hearts and separate fools from their money. There’s also the brilliant but weird hacker Ed and Ein, a super-genius Welsh Corgi. Working alone, any one of them will most likely get lost in the depths of space, but together, they’re the most entertaining bounty hunter team around.
Di Gi Charat: Alien Princess Dejiko, who has cat ears, a cat tail, and ray-beam shooting eyes, travels to Earth hoping to become an idol singer. But she, her sidekick Puchiko, and their balloon-like protector Gema end up working in the only place in Tokyo they seem normal, a game store in Akihabara. Dejiko also has a rival, her co-worker Rabi~en~Rose who also wants to be an idol singer.
El Hazard The Wanderers: As Makoto always upstages Jinnai at everything they compete at without ever really trying to, it just aggravates the delusional rivalry Jinnai has concocted in his mind about Makoto. When Jinnai attempts to sabotage Makoto’s newest invention, it unfortunately creates a dimensional rift that will throw Makoto, Jinnai, and several others from their school into a strange new world that is filled with amazing creatures, beautiful sights, helpful new friends, and even dangerous enemies. If they are somehow going to get back home, it will take wits, courage, and lots of luck.
Food Wars!: At the elite Tohtsuki Academy cooking school that’s staffed by famous culinary chefs, only the fittest survive. Lowly short-order cook Soma Yukihira, knowing only a handful of its students actually graduated, is determined to graduate as well. Despite the efforts from its culinary giants, who try to upend his plans, Soma will show these snobs that anything they can dish out, he can also serve it up as well and will impress them by making it far better than anything they could have ever imagined. Soma also vows to graduate as its top student.
Galaxy Angel Z: The Angel Brigade gets a new mission that’s familiar to them from Colonel Volcott: to find the mysterious Lost Technology of the Galactic Network. Since no one still has any idea what it is, Milfeulle, Forte, Ranpha, Vanilla, and Mint wander around and get into hilarious mishaps and mischief during their mission. Investigating a haunted mansion, they catch some robbers hiding their loot. Free tickets to a wrestling match gets them into the ring with the universe’s strongest man, Great Muscle. Delivering a fabled costume, they get involved in the Snake Caveman Festival.
Giant Beasts of Ars: After giant creatures created and ruled over the lands of Ars, the first humans arrived and claimed these lands. War erupted as the wrathful Beasts tried to destroy these invaders, whose champions, the Nagimori, fight using their Kannagi partner’s untamed magic. Jiro, a Nagimori who had lost his partner, encounters a strange girl whose powers had just awoken and learns she’s fleeing from a mysterious sinister lab. Jiro reluctantly agrees to partner up with Kumi and her friend Myaa as they seek to unravel the mystery behind their creation.
Gokudo: Since Gokudo is reckless, greedy, and ambitious, those qualities make him the perfect adventurer, but also one imperfect crown prince and an even worse hero. With his flaming sword, and accompanied by Rubette La Lette, a tomboyish girl from a noble family who’s looking for excitement, and who, being proficient with range weapons, wields a magic bow, he goes on a quest to uncover all the great treasures of the world. He’ll succeed, or make a fool of himself trying. Djinn, a genie who lectures him and others about responsibilities, and also a rival kingdom’s prince, will later join them as well.
Ground Control to Psycho Electric Girl: As Makoto slowly adjusts to his new life, his aunt Meme warns him about getting too close to her withdrawn daughter, Erio. But Makoto is determined to help Erio adjust to interacting with people again regardless of the problems he encounters. He’s also unsure how to deal with the possible feelings of his female classmate Ryuko. His dream adolescent life now becomes one full of interesting situations and experiences. Especially his relationship with Erio as feelings develop between Makoto and her, which creates a mild romantic rivalry with Ryuko.
Himouto! Umaru-chan: To her classmates, Umaru Doma is the ideal girl, as she’s pretty, friendly, gets top grades, is humble, polite, fashionable, and can easily do any given task, but they wouldn’t recognize her in the privacy of her home. As she changes her pretty clothes for an orange hamster hood, pigs out on snack foods, binge-watches television, plays violent video games, and even whines, rolls on the floor, and leaves the apartment messy, she makes life miserable for her older brother Taihei. Even closely guarded secrets are eventually uncovered, and Umaru’s two lives will soon collide.
Hina Logic from Luck & Logic: Class is in session for girls learning to become a Logicalist to defend the Earth from evil invaders. Princess Liones Yelistratova is trading in her crown for a Logic Card and moving from her small country’s Kingdom to attend ALCA’s Logicalist training school’s top class, class 1-S. Unfortunately she still hasn’t made a contract and her Foreigner Card currently is blank. But with help from her new friends, including experienced Logicalist Nina Alexandrovna, she becomes a student who is worthy of her new-found power.
Horimiya: Although Kyouko Hori is a bright, popular student, and classmate Izumi Miyamura is a gloomy, nerdy, glasses-wearing guy, in real life, Hori is a homebody who dresses casually and cares for her younger brother Souta. One day, an injured Souta is accompanied home by a kind-hearted helpful guy with piercings and tattoos named Miyamura, and he still recognizes Hori even though she’s casually dressed. They agree to keep their true identities a secret from their peers, but they eventually find out that they do have a lot in common, and over time, they find themselves growing even closer.
How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift?: Her love for food is causing Hibiki Sakura to gain weight. After her friend Ayaka Uehara suggests that Hibiki needs to slim down, she decides to go check up on the Silverman Gym. There, she discovers it’s a haven for intimidating bodybuilders and also notices that her classmate and student council president, Akemi Soryuin, is also there and, having a muscle fetish, she decides to join. After meeting Naruzo Machio, one of the handsome personal trainers, Hibiki decides she will join as well.
Hunter X Hunter: Both Gon and Killua head off to Heaven’s Arena to continue their training. Once there, they discover that the higher a fighter advances, the tougher their next opponents are going to be. Quickly moving up, the two friends soon meet Zushi, who informs them about the power of Nen, and they soon begin training under his mentor, Wing, to harness their true potential. On the 200th floor, the duo will unfortunately hit a wall as their Nen-using foes are very strong, and Gon is injured. Both Gon and Killua must somehow gain the strength that’s needed to advance further.
I’ve Somehow Gotten Stronger When I Improved My Farm-Related Skills: Although Al thought he was a typical farmer, when he encounters a group of adventurers fighting a dragon, Al kills the dragon using only a carrot. Afterwards he discovers his warrior abilities are at an incredibly high level. Using his abilities, he rescues Princess Fal-Y and her father, the King, by defeating a powerful Demon and his army. In exchange for Fal-Y giving Al a large plot of land to farm, he registers as an adventurer to help out the Kingdom. He just wants to farm, but fate and the Kingdom just won’t allow him to do so.
Kakushigoto: Weekly manga artist Kakushi Goto is known for ecchi action titles like Balls of Fury and Tights in the Wind, but after his daughter is born, he will be mortified if she ever finds this out, so he decides to disguise his true occupation from her. To help maintain it, he leaves home every day in a business suit, then changes clothes somewhere along the way to the apartment he uses as a studio. Only after his daughter Hime is 18 will she be allowed to learn the truth, but that also means there are several close calls as she is growing up.
Kodocha: After learning that Asako Kurumi was Rei’s high school girlfriend who wants him back now, Sana is forced to compete for Rei’s affection, but she’s unaware that there are two boys also competing for hers as well, creating a bizarre love triangle. After Sana is surprised by a kiss from Akito, the former class troublemaker, she goes out of her way to make sure it never happens again without trying to even understand why he had done it. Later, her world is turned upside down when Sana learns that her relationship with her agent Rei is actually not the romantic one as she always believed it was.
Koro Sensei Quest!: Chibi E Class students journey through dungeons to defeat the Evil Demon King Koro Sensei, but to improve their skills, they must take swordsmanship and sorcery lessons from the Demon King himself. Facing familiar foes, they’ll gain the experience points needed to finally confront Koro Sensei. Cursed with nasty little quirks, they must endure misplaced aim, missing clothes, falling pans, and more annoying mishaps as they continue on their journey toward the final boss.
Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible: Even when standing in front of teachers for attendance, Junta Shiraishi isn’t noticed. He’s even invisible to all his classmates, with one exception, Nagisa Kubo, who sits next to him in class. She not only can see him but sometimes playfully teases him as she seems fixated on getting him to do things that may possibly get other people’s attention. Although puzzled by her actions, Shiraishi will still let Kubo have her way even when the results are sometimes embarrassing. They even soon develop a very close friendship.
Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions!: Like many Japanese middle school students, Yuta Togashi also had chunibyo, a condition of wanting to stand out so badly they believed they had secret knowledge and hidden powers. Starting high school, he’s determined to end his delusional fantasy world and face life head-on. The problem is Rikka Takanashi, a girl he meets who still has chunibyo and, knowing about his past, believes they’re soul mates. Yuta thought his past was over, but with Rika drawing him more into her fantasy world, he’s not so sure now. Feelings are even developing between them.
Love, Election and Chocolate: Club joining is an important part of Japan’s educational experience, but most require more brains or brawn than Yuki wants to expend. For Yuki, the Food Research Club is a relaxing haven where he spends time with the club president, his chocolate-adverse childhood friend Chisato, who secretly loves him, and the other club members. When a new candidate for Student Council President announces her plans to get rid of useless clubs, Yuji is selected as a council candidate by Chisato and the other F.R.C. members.
Mahoraba Heartful Days: After moving into the Narutaki apartments, art student Ryushi Shiratori learns the landlady Kozue Aoba is younger than him and has multiple personalities that take her over whenever she’s shocked. Besides Kozue, Ryushi contends with the aggressive Saki, the childish Nanako, the wacky Chiyuri, the shy Natsume, and other eccentric neighbors. As time passes the relationship between Ryushi and Kozue, and her many personalities, becomes closer and more precious for them, as do the bonds with their other friends.
Majestic Prince: Originally, genetically enhanced humans were created to explore outer space, but when the alien Wulgaru attacked using vastly advanced technology, these Evolved Children became humanity’s final defense. For the newly created hapless Team Rabbits, their commander Izura, with Toshikaze, Kei, Tamaki, and Ataru, must learn to cooperate as a team while piloting new types of battle mech during this desperate war to defeat the Wulgaru forces led by the ruthless Prince Jiart who has superior firepower and technology, to save to themselves and the Earth as well before it is too late.
Medaka Box: At Hakoniwa Academy, Student Council President Medaka creates a suggestion box to help out people wanting typical problems solved, which she and her best friend and council member Zenkichi accomplish. But they soon find hints of an unbelievable secret that their school, Medaka, and their fellow students are somehow at the center of, which will turn an innocent pastime into a dangerous game for everyone involved. Medaka, Zenkichi, and their Student Council recruits must discover what their own unexpected abilities are before things get totally out of control. To get back home will take wits, courage, and lots of luck.
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: Due to a drunken promise, Miss Kobayashi’s life changes when Tohru, a dragon, arrives to live with her, and she now experiences a whole new level of domestic bliss with Tohru, a maid-slash-dragon, in her home. Then Kobayashi meets Kanna, a little dragon with a big attitude who has been searching for Tohru. Kobayashi is soon living with two dragons, a devoted, overly affectionate Tohru, and a totally cute Kana. After they move into a larger apartment, they can finally live peacefully together, and any occasional problem that might occur, they are able to resolve.
Nagasarete Airanto: Surrounded by life-threatening whirlpools, escape from the island Airanto is impossible. For marooned Ikuto, life is difficult as only women and young girls, who see him as husband material, live here. Despite this, Ikuto is adjusting to living on this island with help from the pretty Suzu, who is a close friend he lives with, as she always treats him nicely and is the only girl who isn’t fighting over him. As Ikuto and Suzu spend more time together, a relationship will begin to grow as they start to slowly develop mutual feelings.
Needless: In a contaminated wasteland where Tokyo had once stood exists the Needless, mutants processing amazing powers due to a fragment. After rescuing Cruz Child, Adam Blade, whose Needless power is Zero, Eve Neuschwanstein, whose Needless power is Doppelganger, and Professor Gido will help Cruz defeat the forces of Simeon led by the ruthless Adam Arclight. Momiji Teruyama, whose Needless power is Fire, and Iron Mountain’s information master Disc, a special female cyborg whose Needless power is Scan, will later join them as well.
One Punch Man: Finally gaining back his passion for being a hero again, Saitama, along with his cyborg disciple Genos, is now ready to begin his new official duties of being a professional hero. Unfortunately when a new friendship develops and a renewed interest in martial arts proves too distracting, the Hero Association is left to somehow deal with a sinister new wave of monster attacks on their own. To make matters far worse, it seems that its heroes are being hunted. The Earth is doomed unless Saitama, with one punch, can save the day.
Onipan!: Three young Japanese oni girls, Tsutsujiare, Himawari, and Tsuyukusa, transfer into a human high school as part of a plan to ease relations between humans and onis and are soon befriended by their human classmates. To deal with extra-large problems that arise, the three oni girls don special tiger-striped Oni-Pants over their skirts, shorts, or pants that let them transform and use special oni abilities to help them resolve any issues. This requires the girls to accept great responsibilities.
Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World: An endless war rages between the technologically advanced Heavenly Empire and the powerful magical country Nebulis Sovereignty. Then, imperial master swordsman Iska and the Ice Calamity Witch princess Aliceliese have a fateful encounter. As sworn enemies, they must kill each other, but both Isak and Aliceliese secretly desire to peacefully end the war between their two nations without further bloodshed. As situations keep bringing them together, Iska and Aliceliese wonder if finding peace with each other will create a path to end this war.
Saint Tail: At St. Paulia’s Private School, Meimi is a typical middle school student by day, but at night she’s the mysterious magical thief Saint Tail. With guidance from her best friend, Seira, a nun-in-training, Saint Tail steals back treasures that were unjustly taken from their owners. Despite her virtuous motives, she is constantly pursued by the police and her classmate Asuka Jr. Friends at school but rivals at night, she plays a coy game of cat and mouse with her eager pursuer. Both are unaware they will capture each other’s hearts someday.
Sayonara, Zetsubou-sensei: When distraught teacher Nozomu Itoshiki tries to hang himself from a cherry tree, one of his female students, the extremely cheerful Kafuka, butts in and saves his life. All of Nozomu’s students would be considered a little peculiar. There’s hyper-perfectionist Chiri, female stalker Matoi, balding masochist Usui, as well as the others who have peculiar personalities in his class. Although Nozomu, as a teacher, should be preparing the young men and women in his class for the future, with his disillusioned ideas, he possibly isn’t the best person to do it.
Scarlet Nexus: In an alternate future the Other Suppression Force (OSF) recruits members with extrasensory superpowers and abilities to protect humanity from the Others, mindless mutants descending from the Extinction Belt to exterminate humanity. Saved by soldiers of the Other Suppression Force (OSF) as a child, psychokinetic Yuito strives to repay his debt and later becomes an elite (OSF) soldier. He is later teamed up with elite prodigy (OSF) soldier Kasane, who has unusual recurring dreams that possibly provides the key to saving the Earth.
SSSS.GRIDMAN: For unknown reasons, massive kaiju are attacking the city of Tsutsujidai. In an old computer, the mechanized hero Gridman tells amnesiac high school student Yuta Hibiki he must fulfill a mission which puzzles him. Heroism is necessary for survival, so when any kaiju attacks, to defend the city and protect his friends Rikka Takarada, Sho Utsumi, and their classmates, Yuta is forced to merge with Gridman to fight it but, after the kaiju is defeated, people’s memories are reset and anyone who died is forgotten, except for certain people like Yuta, Rikka, and Sho.
Star Ocean EX: During their quest to find the Sorcery Globe, Claude, who had learned a new weapon skill, and Rena meet the sorceress Celine, who becomes their friend and ally. Their journey is sidetracked by an encounter with Ashton, a swordsman who is single-handedly fighting a hideous two-headed dragon, but during his battle the dragon’s two heads get attached to his back. Claude, Rena, and Celine now offer to help him. During their journey, they will face numerous monsters and befriend the pretty alien woman Opera, who has been searching for her lover, Ernest.
Tetsujin 28 FX: Decades have passed since Shotaro Kaneda and Tetsujin 28 protected the world, but evil is always around, so a new hero and a new robot, Tetsujin 28 FX, are needed to protect the world again. One year after mysteriously vanishing, Masato Kaneda returns to protect the Earth, along with his family and friends, from the diabolical Neo Black Gang. With Masato’s brilliant mother Yoko providing upgrades for Tetsujin 28 FX, along with his father Shotaro and the original Tetsujin 28 occasionally helping out, they will defeat the Neo Black Gang and all of the other villains and rogue robots.
The Eccentric Family: In modern day Kyoto, humans live in the city, tengus fly in the sky, and tanukis roam the earth. Yasaburo is a tanuki and third son of famed tanuki leader Soichiro Shimogamo, who ended up tragically in the year-end hot pot of some humans. Embracing his fool’s blood, Yasaburo strives for a happy, carefree life, but it’s difficult for him. Between caring for his old tengu master Akadama-sensei, avoiding life-threatening advances by the pretty human Benten, and dealing with his stupid twin cousins, he must also avoid possibly being part of some human’s hotpot.
The Third: The Girl with the Blue Eye: Something dangerous that even the Thirds fear has begun moving in the desert. The deadly, swirling vortex known as Gravestone continues to expand, destroying everything in its path, and Honoka is heading straight toward it, blissfully unaware of this impending danger ahead of her. She’s busy tracking down sand dragons and dealing with a totally unexpected visitor, the mysterious raven-haired Paifre, who claims that she’s only here to help out Honoka, who will soon need all of the help she possibly can obtain.
Tokyo Mew Mew New: Her date with popular Masaya Aoyamas is ruined when Ichigo is first hit by a ray that supplements her DNA with that of an Iriomote Cat, then they’re attacked by a giant rat monster. Using her new feline abilities as a Mew Mew girl, she defeats the monster. Ichigo, wondering who gave her these powers, uncovers the mysterious Mew Project, and searches for the other four Mew Mew girls, Minto Aizaw, Retasu Midorikawa, Bu-Ling Huang, and Zakuro Fujiwara, who were given similar powers to protect Earth from invading aliens.
Urusei Yatsura: Due to a misunderstanding, Ataru is in an arranged marriage with alien princess Lum and whenever Ataru strays, Lum uses electric shocks to punish him. They experience many hilarious situations and misadventures together due to their unique relationship that even gets their families, friends, classmates, or innocent bystanders involved in some way. When certain alien visitors are added to the mix it gets crazier, especially with Lum’s younger cousin Ten, who is constantly fighting Ataru. Despite all the problems they experience, Lum and Ataru, who actually love each other, sometimes do have intimate moments.
Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon: Ten years after the Sacred Tree of Ages sent the half-demon Towa, daughter of Sesshomaru and Rin, to the modern era, separating her from her twin sister Setsuna, the mystical Sacred Tree’s time-traveling powers reunite Towa with Setsuna, who is now a feisty demon slayer. But she doesn’t remember her past as the mythical Dream Butterfly stole her dreams and memories. Now the half-demon twins go on an adventure to help regain their past alongside their feisty quarter-demon bounty hunter cousin Moroha, who is also the daughter of Kagome and Inuyasha.
Yuyushiki: Starting high school, three best female friends, mature serious Yui, smart hyperactive airhead Yuzuko, and loopy airhead Yukari, check out the Data Processing Club’s room and, finding it empty, spend all day looking up information on the internet on its two computers. Miss Matsumoto, the teacher who they and all the other students nicknamed Mom, becomes their computer club advisor. However, they usually spend far more time chatting and having fun than using the computers during their daily uneventful and subtly humorous lives.
