How do I apply as press for Comic-Con 2026?

Your Outlet Key Contact must submit the Press Application by FRIDAY, JANUARY 16, 2026 for Comic-Con 2026 consideration.

Mayroon na akong valid at confirmed Comic-Con Member ID, pero hindi pa ako nakadalo bilang press. Paano ako dadalo bilang press?

Your Outlet Key Contact* must submit the Press Application by FRIDAY, JANUARY 16, 2026 for Comic-Con 2026 consideration.

*Outlet Key Contact (OKC) is the primary person responsible for facilitating communication between the press outlet and Comic-Con. This includes applying for and registering press badges for the outlet if approved. There can only be one OKC per press outlet. However, an OKC may be the OKC for multiple outlets.

If your press outlet is approved, your OKC will use your Member ID credentials and Press Title to register you for a Comic-Con 2026 press badge once registration opens. You do not need to sign up for a new Member ID if you already have one.

The Outlet Key Contact (OKC) is the primary person responsible for facilitating communication between the press outlet and Comic-Con. This includes applying for and registering press badges for the outlet if approved. There can only be one OKC per press outlet. However, an OKC may be the OKC for multiple press outlets.

My outlet/company would like to attend Comic-Con 2026. Can we apply as an outlet/company or will each person need to apply individually?

ISA lang ang tatanggapin na application per outlet.

  • Individual members wishing to attend as press should submit the application for the outlet they wish to represent and designate themselves as the Outlet Key Contact on the application. This includes freelance press, who must specify the outlet they are representing. An assignment letter from the outlet they wish to represent must be submitted with the application.
  • If multiple members from an outlet wish to attend as press, the Outlet Key Contact should submit the application and list the additional members within that one application.

Your Outlet Key Contact* must submit the Press Application by FRIDAY, JANUARY 16, 2026 for Comic-Con 2026 consideration.

The Outlet Key Contact (OKC) for my press outlet needs to be updated. How do we update this information?

To update or change the OKC of a press outlet, email pressreg@comic-con.org for assistance. The new OKC must have their own valid and confirmed Comic-Con Member ID. To create a Comic-Con Member ID, please click here.

No, Comic-Con is unable to accept any faxed or emailed applications and/or verification materials.

Bakit kailangan magpadala ng verification materials ang press outlet ko

Comic-Con is able to provide complimentary press badge(s) to press outlets that meet the published guidelines and requirements established by the organization. This requires you to provide information and examples of work in order for us to verify the legitimacy of the applying press outlet and work.

Gaano kadalas kailangan ng press outlet ko para magpadala ng verification materials

Press outlet verification approval status is valid for two consecutive years (for example, approved press outlets for our upcoming convention will be valid for 2026 and 2027), under the discretion of Comic-Con.

Freelance press members’ verification approval status is only valid for the year approved.

Paano kung hindi makapagbigay ng mga materyales sa pag-verify ang aking Outlet Key Contact na sumusuporta sa press outlet?

Kung ang iyong Outlet Key Contact ay hindi maaaring, o pinili na huwag, magbigay ng mga kinakailangang materyales sa pag verify, iminumungkahi namin na bumili ka ng isang badge ng dadalo, kung magagamit. Hindi maproseso ang isang Press Application kung ang iyong Outlet Key Contact ay hindi nagbibigay ng mga materyales sa pag verify. Kailan makakatanggap ng sagot ang Outlet Key Contact sa isinumiteng press application?

Please allow 4 – 6 weeks for processing and review. All press applications are processed in the order in which they are received. The Outlet Key Contact will be notified via email if the press outlet has been approved or declined.

Our Outlet Key Contact submitted the Press Application with verification materials over six weeks ago, but has not yet received a response. Who should the Outlet Key Contact contact?

Once your Outlet Key Contact has successfully submitted the Press Application, they will receive an emailed Order Receipt from donotreply@comic-con.org with the subject “Press Application Submission – WonderCon and Comic-Con 2026” The Outlet Key Contact should forward the Order Receipt to pressreg@comic-con.org for further assistance.

My press outlet submitted the Press Application and was approved as press for 2026. Now what?

Can I receive my badge in the mail?

Press badge registrations completed by Thursday, May 7, will be eligible for advance shipping. Your badge will be mailed to the designated shipping address that’s on file in your Comic-Con Member ID account as of that date. All badges will be shipped at least 3–4 weeks prior to the event.

Your shipping address will be marked with a gray ‘Shipping’ bubble. To view, add, or update your shipping address, log in to your Member ID account and click ‘My Addresses’ from your Account Dashboard.

  • If your primary address is where you want badges mailed, click ‘Edit’, check the box next to ‘Primary Shipping Address,’, and click ‘Save.’.
  • If your primary address is correct but you want your badges to be mailed elsewhere, click ‘+Add Address.’. Enter your shipping address information, check the box next to ‘Primary Shipping Address,’, and click ‘Save.’.

We cannot ship to international or APO/FPO/DPO addresses. If you are an international attendee but have a US mailing address to which you’d like your badge shipped to, click ‘+Add Address,.’, and enter a domestic shipping address. Check the box next to ‘Primary Shipping Address,’, and click ‘Save.’.

Kapag nakarehistro na ako para sa press badge, maaari ba akong magdagdag ng plus-one, guest, o bata?

No. A Comic-Con press badge is provided free of charge as a courtesy for covering our convention, and therefore we cannot provide you with a plus-one, guest, or child badge.

Magkakaroon ba ng on site press registration?

There will be NO on-site registration for press. Press Applications submitted after FRIDAY, JANUARY 16, 2026, will not be considered for Comic-Con 2026. We are no longer considering any additional press applications or requests.

My press outlet missed the January 16, 2026 press application deadline. What can we do?

Your Outlet Key Contact must have submitted the Press Application by FRIDAY, JANUARY 16, 2026, for Comic-Con 2026 consideration. We are no longer considering any additional press applications or requests.

I would like to videotape/film/record a panel at Comic-Con 2026, am I able to do so?

Ang pag post o pag ere ng higit sa 15 minuto ng isang panel nang walang paunang nakasulat na pahintulot mula sa Comic-Con ay hindi pinapayagan. Hindi rin pinapayagan ang live streaming. Ang mga rehistradong miyembro ng press na nais mag videotape, pelikula, at/o magtala ng anumang bagay na gagamitin para sa komersyal na layunin (hindi balita) ay dapat munang kumuha ng nakasulat na pahintulot mula sa Komikon-Con at sa anumang iba pang kalahok na naitala. Upang hingin ang naaangkop na pahintulot, mangyaring mag email sa pr@comic-con.org na may detalyadong impormasyon tungkol sa interes na itala sa Komikon.

I would like to shoot footage for a documentary at Comic-Con 2026. What are the appropriate guidelines and steps I need to follow?

Additionally, you must submit a Press Application by FRIDAY, JANUARY 16, 2026. Approval is not guaranteed.

May lugar ba para magtrabaho ang mga miyembro ng press sa panahon ng kombensyon?

Yes, Comic-Con has a press workroom located inside the San Diego Convention Center that will have dedicated Wi-Fi for our registered press members. You must have a Comic-Con 2026 press badge to enter this room. 

Tandaan lamang po: Hindi ka maaaring mag iwan ng anumang personal na mga gamit sa kuwartong ito. Ang mga detalye ay ipapadala sa pamamagitan ng email sa mga rehistradong miyembro ng press bago ang convention.
