Prix Will Eisner Spirit of Comics Retailer

Chaque année, le Comic-Con International récompense des détaillants du monde entier en leur remettant le prix Will Eisner Spirit of Comics Retailer Award, qui porte le nom du créateur visionnaire de The Spirit. Lorsque Will Eisner a proposé au Comic-Con de créer ce prix au début des années 1990, il souhaitait reconnaître le rôle important que jouent les détaillants de bandes dessinées dans l'industrie, en entretenant la relation entre les créateurs et leurs lecteurs. Le détaillant de bandes dessinées est le lien vital qui permet de faire connaître au public le travail des créateurs et des éditeurs. Will a reconnu l'importance de ce lien, et le Comic-Con continue de le reconnaître plus de 30 ans après l'idée originale de Will.

The award is given out yearly to retailers who have done an outstanding job of supporting the comic art medium both in the industry at large and in their local community. Comics fans around the world have the opportunity to nominate their favorite stores here on the Comic-Con website. The 2025 award will be given out as part of the Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards on July 25, 2025.
