Two New Comic-Con Museum@Home Panels

THURSDAY, NOV. 5, 2020

Two New Comic-Con Museum@Home Panels
Comics & Tarot: The Art of Fortune and Fantasy • https://youtu.be/uWppv1toPAs

Tarot and comic books have long been intertwined. Comics creators have designed some astounding and mythical tarot decks; and the mythos behind tarot has seeped into some of our favorite books. Markeia McCarty (The Nerdist) speaks with creators Becky Cloonan (The King’s Story), Trungles (The Magic Fish), and Abigail Larson (The Dreaming) about what went into creating their decks and what tarot means to them. If you're a fan of comics, tarot, art, or looking to create a deck of your own, this is a panel you don’t want to miss.

Stories of Strength: Comics & Cancer Awareness • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2iSF4XDhwk&t

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Comic-Con Museum is proud to present a panel highlighting the journeys of several comics creators and the ways in which cancer has affected their lives and their work. Moderated by Amy Chu (Sea Sirens: Sky Island) comics creators Jennifer Hayden (The Story of My Tits), Marisa Acocella (Cancer Vixen: A True Story), AJ Dungo (In Waves), and Brian Fies (Mom’s Cancer) share their deeply personal works and how putting those books out into the world has affected them. They will be joined by Meredith Hall-Chand, Interim President & CEO of Susan G. Komen San Diego.
