SAN DIEGO - The Comic-Con International Independent

answer questions from the audience.
Winners in each category will receive a unique award designed specifically
for the CCI:IFF in addition to prizes from the following sponsors:
FX Home,
The Hollywood Reporter,
New York Film Academy,

Highlighting genre related
films; Action/Adventure, Animation, Comics-oriented, Documentary (pop-culture
oriented), Horror/Suspense, Humor/Parody, and Science Fiction/Fantasy, the CCI-IFF
is a juried festival that coincides with the largest comic book and pop culture
event in the United States; Comic-Con International, more commonly referred
to as Comic-Con.
Judges this year include
writer Max Allan Collins, Actor/Director Thomas Jane and Visual Effects editor/Filmmaker
Sean Rourke.
"We’re very excited about this years line-up,"
said David Glanzer, spokesperson for the non-profit event, " as long time attendees
know Comic-Con has had an extensive association with Hollywood from Comic-Con
guest Frank Capra in 1972 to Francis Ford Coppola later, and the huge list of
producers, writers and actors who have visited us throughout the years. For
that reason alone, having a festival where budding filmmakers can show their
works seems like a perfect fit."

to compete and will screen as part of the four-day convention which utilizes
the entire convention center in San Diego California. Organizers try to assure
