Child Badge Policy

Comic-Con is proud to offer one of the most generous child badge policies in the industry. Children (age 12 and under) are free with a paying adult! Children do not need to register for a Comic-Con Member ID to receive a complimentary badge. You may register up to two children per paid adult attendee. Children must be present to be registered for a badge and adults will be required to provide emergency contact information for any child registrant.

To accommodate the transition from child (age 12 and under), to junior (age 13 - 17), we have set a static date to determine who is considered a child for Comic-Con 2019. If you are age 12 or under on July 31, 2018, you do not need to buy a badge for Comic-Con 2019. You may attend as a child, with a paying adult. If you are age 13 or older on July 31, 2018, you must create a Comic-Con Member ID and purchase a badge to attend Comic-Con 2019.

Comic-Con 2019 Child-to-Junior Badge Validation

The child-to-junior validation period is now closed.

If your child attended Comic-Con 2018 with a free child badge, but would be considered a junior attendee for Comic-Con 2019, you must have validated their Comic-Con 2018 child badge number by September 6, 2018 to be eligible to participate in Comic-Con 2019 Returning Registration.

If you missed the validation deadline, they may still be eligible to participate in Comic-Con 2019 Open Registration at a later date. Please check our website frequently for more information.
